Last Will and Testament of
Bridget Gibbs of St. John's
Married woman deceased.

      This is the last will and testament of me Bridget Gibbs at present of Cock Pit Road near St. John's in the Island of Newfoundland married woman made this eighteenth day of August A.D. 1895. My will is first that my just debts and funeral expenses be paid by my executor hereinafter named and the residue of my real and personal property which shall not be required for such purpose I give devise and bequeath as follows to wit: - I give devise and bequeath to Michael Reilly son of Peter Reilly that portion of the house now occupied by me and consisting of three rooms to have and to hold the said rooms to his use for ever provided that during the infancy of the said Michael Rielly and until he shall attain the age of twenty one years the said rooms are to be used and occupied by Ellen Rielly mother of the said Michael Rielly and in the event of the said Michael Rielly dying before he shall attain the said age of twenty one years the said three rooms shall go to and be the property of the said Ellen Reilly to have and to hold the same to her use for ever.
I give devise and bequeath to my son John Arthur Gibbs all those several pieces or parcels of land or farms together with the old dwelling house and stable thereon conveyed to me by the said Ellen Rielly and bearing date April 24th 1890 and now farmed occupied and owned by me and consisting of about five acres for his sole use and benefit to have and to hold the same for ever and until he shall have attained the age of twenty one years the rents and profits arising out of the said farms shall be devoted by my executor to the support of my said son in such way and at such times as to my executor shall seem best and the said property for said purpose shall vest in my executor or such person as he may appoint until my said son shall have attained the said age and in the event of my said son dying before he shall have attained the said age in such case I devise and bequeath the said pieces of land or farms together with the old dwelling house or stable to Bridget Rielly daughter of my late brother George to have and to hold the same to her forever.
I give devise and bequeath to the said Michael Rielly son of Peter Rielly all my right title and interest in and to that farm situate on the Cock Pit Road aforesaid and known as Woods farm formerly owned by my late brother Thomas who died intestate without issue to have and to hold the same for his use forever.
I give devise and bequeath all of my household furniture farm stock farming utensils and clothes of every description whatsoever of which I shall die possessed to the children of Peter Rielly share and share alike to have and to hold the same to their use for ever. I appoint the Reverend Edmund Crook Executor of this my will. In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name at the Cock Pit Road aforesaid the day and year first above written. Signed by the said testatrix as and for her last will in the presence of us in her presence in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses. - Codicil -

This is a codicil to the last will and testament of me Bridget Gibbs made the 18th of August A.D. 1895. I give devise and bequeath to Michael Rielly son of Peter Rielly the half of the cellar now held jointly by me with Ellen Rielly situate in rear of dwelling house occupied by me to hold the same for ever. I give devise and bequeath to Michael Rielly son of Peter all my interest in the farm roller jointly held by me and the said Ellen Reilly. In all other respects I confirm my said will St. John's Oct 16th 1895. (Sgd) Bridget Gibbs. Signed by the said Testatrix in the presence of us who in her presence & in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses. (Sgd) Ellen Reilly. (Sgd) E. P. Morris

       I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last Will and Testament and Codicil of Bridget Gibbs deceased
