This name is spelled Gaheney in the will index, and Ghaney in the will.

In re
      William Ghaney          deceased.

      I William Ghaney Colliers District of Hr. Main fisherman being of sound & disposing mind & memory do make this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former will & testamentary dispositions heretofore at any time by me made. I hereby appoint James Whelan to be the executor of this my last will & testament.
I leave to my lawful wife the dwelling house to have until her death I also leave to my lawful wife the cow The heifer I give to Nicholas which will help him to get a horse I request Nicholas to support his mother & I give him the house after her death
I leave my son Samuel that piece of land under fence to the east of ditch given him by me. I leave the ridge to be equally divided between my four sons, Edward, John Samuel & William. I leave to the youngest son, Nicholas the remaining portion of my land.
I leave all my out-houses for the use of all my sons. I witness whereof I have hereto set my hand this the Fourth day of November one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine     William his x mark Ghaney     Signed and acknowledged by the said William Ghaney as an for his last will & testament in the presence of us who in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses.    James Whelan     James Hearn
