Will of John Charles Gent, from Newfoundland will books volume 15 page 76 probate year 1929

IN RE.                     DECEASED

JOHN CHARLES GENT.

I John Charles Gent of St John's in the island of Newfoundland do make publish and declare this as and for my last will and testament.
I hereby revoke annul and declare void all other and former wills by me made. FIRST, I will and direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses be paid as soon as possible after my death. SECOND, I give devise an bequeath unto my wife Lydia Gent all my property of every description whatsoever of which I may die possessed, including my leasehold premises on Colonial Street in St John's aforesaid, household furniture and effects, and all my goods and chattels of every description whatsoever. THIRD, I hereby nominate and appoint my said wife Lydia Gent to be the Executrix of this my will.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto subscribed my hand this 29th day of August Anno Domini One thousand nine hundred and fourteen

JOHN CHARLES GENT

Signed, published and declared by the said
testator as and for his last will and testament
in the presence of us, the undersigned, both being
present at the same time, who, at his request and
in his presence and in the presence of each other
have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses at
St John's aforesaid this 29th day of August Anno
Domini one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.
