Will of Richard Gaul from Newfoundland will books volume 6 page 516 probate year 1899 Last will and Testament of This is the last will and Testament of me Richard Gaul of Topsail Road near St. John’s in the Island of Newfoundland Farmer made this 31st day of December A.D. 1898. I give devise and bequeath to my wife Catherine Gaul the house I now reside in and all my property of every description whatsoever for her use during her natural life and to be disposed of by her under her will in such manner as she may think best but subject to this condition that on the death of my said wife my son Edward is to have the western end of my said house and the stable and cellar adjoining the same to hold the same for ever. I appoint my wife sole Executrix of this my will In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name on the date aforesaid. Signed published and declared by the said testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses having been first read over and explained.
