Last Will and Testament of
Ellen Galway of St. John's
Widow deceased.

      This is the last will and Testament of me Ellen Galway of St. John's widow of the late Nicholas Galway. Whereas the said late Nicholas Galway did previous to his death make and execute his last will and Testament appointing this testator his sole legatee of all his real and personal property and effects and monies and securities for monies and whereas I am now desirous of making provision for my children Michael Galway my eldest son, Margaret Kehoe and Ellen Gibbons.

Firstly I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Margaret Kehoe the sum of twenty four dollars to be paid her annually out of the estate which was of the late Nicholas Galway and which was bequeathed to me as above mentioned the said annual payments to be made during her natural life only.

Secondly. I give devise and bequeath unto my said daughter Ellen Gibbons all that portion of the dwelling house situate on Hamilton Street at present occupied by one Henry Miller and which was of the estate of the late Nicholas Galway and which was bequeathed to me as before mentioned - for her sole use and benefit during her natural life only.

Thirdly I give devise and bequeath unto my son Michael Galway all the rest residue and remainder of the said estate and personal property and effects and monies and securities for monies household furniture and all manner of goods and chattels of which I may die possessed for his sole and absolute use and benefit.

Fourthly I appoint my nephew James Galway my sole executor of his my last will and Testament.

Fifthly I hereby revoke all former wills and codicils which may have been made by me. In testimony whereof I have hereunto affixed my hand by affixing my mark at St. John's aforesaid this 21st day of February A.D. 1895. (Sgd) Ellen her x mark Galway. Signed by the said testatrix by affixing her mark in our presence, who in her presence at her request and in the presence of each other have hereunto signed our names as witnesses (the same having been first read over and explained) (sgd) Nicholas Murphy. (Sgd) Jno. W. White
