Will of Michael Gallivan from Newfoundland will books volume 14 pages 546-547 probate year 1929

In re     DECEASED.
MICHAEL GALLIVAN.

I, Michael Gallivan of St. John's in the island of Newfoundland, retired Cooper hereby revoke all former wills codicils and testamentary dispositions heretofore made by me and declare this to be my last will and testament.

  1. I appoint my son-in-law John M. Walsh of St. John's aforesaid to be the executor of this my will.
  2. I direct my executor to pay all my just debts funeral and testamentary expense.
  3. I give devise and bequeath all my right title and interest in and to that leasehold land and dwelling-house in which I reside at present and situate and being number nine Cochrane STREET in St. John's aforesaid, together with all and singular my household furniture and effects therein contained, unto such of my grandchildren John Boggan, Winifred Boggan, Marie Boggan, Annie Boggan and Patrice Boggan children of my deceased daughter Annie Boggan, as shall be living at my death absolutely share and share alike.
  4. I give and bequeath the sum of One Hundred ($100.) Dollars unto my grandson Thomas Gallivan, son of my deceased son Michael Gallivan, absolutely.
  5. I give and bequeath the sum of One Hundred ($100.) Dollars unto my grandson Michael Walsh, son of my deceased daughter Agnes Walsh, absolutely.
  6. The rest residue and remainder of my estate including my moneys on hand and in bank not heretofore

G.B.S.     E.J.P.     MICHAEL HIS X MARK GALLIVAN
(heretofore) specifically bequeathed or devised I give devise and bequeath unto such of my grandchildren Mary Gallivan, Elizabeth Gallivan, and Margaret Gallivan children of my deceased son Michael Gallivan, and John Boggan, Winifred Boggan, Marie Boggan, Annie Boggan and Patricia Boggan, children of my said deceased daughter Annie Boggan, as shall be living at my death, absolutely share and share alike.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto my hand subscribed and set at St. John's aforesaid this nineteenth day of December A.D. one thousand nine hundred and twenty eight.

SIGNED PUBLISHED AND DECLARED by the above named testator as and for his last will and testament in our presence who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other all three being present at the same time have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses the said will consisting of two pages of which this is the second page first having been read over and explained to the said testator, who executed the said will as aforesaid by the affixing of his mark hereunto.
