The last Will of Matthew Frayne
late of Bay Roberts, Mechanic deceased.
In the name of God. Amen. I Matthew
Frayne of Bay Roberts in the District of Harbor Grace, Newfoundland, Mechanic, being
very sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be unto God.
I make this my last will and Testament, that is to say as follows
First
I give and bequeath to George Russell of Bay Roberts trader one walnut side
board in front room for attention and kindness to me during my late illness,
also one feather bed and bedstead in Back room over the kitchen to Benjamin
North for his kindness.
I give and bequeath my dwelling house as
it stands unfurnished to Rev Monsignor Walsh P.P. of Brigus to be sold and
one half of the proceeds to be given to the Church for whatever purpose his
Reverance deems wise to do it for church purposes, the other half for Masses
for the repose of the souls of my late wife Anastatia & my own.
I
further give and bequeath all my household furniture and effects excepting
articles mentioned above to my niece Sarah Fynn to her and her heirs, also
my tools I give to Sarah Fynn, after all expenses incurred are paid, but should
my money not be sufficient to cover said expenses any tools and timber now
in stock are to be sold to provide means to do so unless my niece Sarah
Fynn wishes to take all and be responsible for the same which may be due. I wish
a suitable headstone be erected for myself and late wife (Anastatia) (one combined).
I hereby appoint George Bursell be executor to this my last will and testament
and do authorize him to see all dues debts and demands be paid.
In
witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty eighth of
June A.D. one thousand nine hundred and two. -

in the presence of us who in his presence and in the presence of each other
have hereto subscribed our names. Witnesses. - Matthew Ryan. Edward Finn
I certify the foregoing to be a correct
copy of the last will of Matthew Frayne
