Will of John Fox Last will and Testament of This is the last will of me, John Fox, of Number twenty four William Street St. John’s Newfoundland. I give and bequeath to my wife Elizabeth Fox, my dwelling house together with my interest in the land adjoining the same, situate in William Street St. John’s Newfoundland Also a sum of money deposited in the Government Savings Bank of Newfoundland, after my funeral expenses and lawful debts have been paid Also the rents of the same property. At the death of the said Elizabeth Fox I will that the property be divided equally between my two daughters Elizabeth Cox and Jane Major. I appoint William H Goodland of number seventeen William Street, St. John’s and Alexander King of number twenty one Fleming Street Executors of this will. Dated this twenty fifth day of January Eighteen hundred and ninety nine. (Sgd) John Fox Signed by the testator in the joint presence of us, who thereupon signed our names in his presence. (Sgd) John Hugh Bradford clerk in Holy orders St. John’s Newfoundland. (Sgd) Clara Goodland married woman of 19 William Street, St. John’s I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and Testament of John Fox deceased D. M.
