Will of Sylvester Fortune, from Newfoundland will books volume 15 page 435 probate year 1931

Sylvester Fortune

This is the last will and testament of me, Sylvester Fortune, of Tor's Cove, in the district of Ferryland, Fisherman, made the 12th day of June Anno Domini one thousand nine hundred and thirty.
I hereby revoke all former wills and testamentary dispositions by me at any time heretofore made.
I appoint my wife, Hannah Fortune, to be the executrix of this my will.
I give, devise and bequeath all my land at Tor's Cove with dwelling house and all other erections thereon and all my furniture to my wife for life and after her death to my grandson, Christopher Keefe, of Tor's Cove
I give, devise and bequeath to my daughter, Lena Keefe, wife of Michael Keefe, the sum of one hundred dollars.
I give, devise and bequeath all the rest of my money and all the rest, residue and remainder of my estate to my said wife, Hannah Fortune, absolutely.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my hand the day and year first before written.

Signed, published and declared by the above named Sylvester Fortune as and for his Last Will and testament in our presence both being present at the same time who in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses, the same having been first read and explained to him.
