Will of William Ford from Newfoundland will books volume 14 page 93 probate year 1927 In re Fords Harbour, Pauls Island.
This is my last will and wish, I, William Ford, leave and bequeath all my estate
and property, Houses, Stages, Hunting, Fishing and Sealing gear whatsoever,
in fact all my possessions here at Fords Harbour and elsewhere, to my son Alder
Ford. He, Alder, is to be my sole heir, and I desire him to step into my place
when I shall die, and to live and work in the place of his father, grandfather
and great grandfather.- My son Alder is to take the greatest care of his grandmother,
while she lives. He is also to care for and look after his cousins: James and
George Ford. They are to work under his guidance until they may shall be more
than 20 years of age. If at that time they want to leave, my wish is that he
may not keep them back.- Little Edward Wild I leave entirely to Alder, who
is to teach him to work and take great care of him until he is 21 years of
age.- To Lea Ford, my wife since May 10th 1926,
I leave nothing whatsoever, because of her untruthfulness and because of her
whole behavior toward me, ever since our marriage. But if Alder ever has a
few Dollars to spare, I do not object to him paying her a small amount of money,
but not exceeding one hundred dollars - and not any more afterwards. Lea may
return to her own people. (Which sum is to be paid if she is at any time in
particular need) CORRECT (Listed in the margin next to this will the following)
