Will of Eliza Forbes from Newfoundland will books volume 14 page 437 probate year 1929

In re       DECEASED.
ELIZA FORBES.

THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me Eliza Forbes of St. John's in the Island of Newfoundland Widow.
FIRST I hereby revoke all wills and testamentary dispositions by me at any time heretofore made.
SECOND. I appoint my son John Forbes sole executor of this my will.
THIRD. I give devise and bequeath the southern half of my land between Hamilton Street and Cornwall Avenue together with my dwelling house and all other buildings and erections thereon to my said Executor in trust for my daughter-in-law Minnie Forbes wife of my son Archibald Forbes for her life or until she shall marry again and upon her death or marriage in trust for such of the children of my said son Archibald Forbes as shall then be living.
FOURTH I give devise and bequeath the Northern half of my said land to my son James Forbes absolutely.
FIFTH I will and direct that all my debts funeral and testamentary expenses and death duties be paid out of any monies I may have at the time of my death and subject thereto I give and bequeath said monies to my sons John Forbes Robert Forbes, Archibald Forbes and James Forbes in equal shares.
SIXTH I give all the residue of my estate to my said daughter-in-law Minnie Forbes absolutely.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I the said Eliza Forbes have hereunto subscribed my hand (by marking my mark thereto) at St. John's aforesaid this sixth day of May Anno Domini one thousand nine hundred and twenty six.

Signed by the said testatrix (by making her mark thereto) in the presence of us both being present at the same time who in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses (the same having first been read over and explained to the said testatrix).
