In re JOHN B. FOOTE. DECEASED.
This is the last Will and Testament of me John B. Foote of
Grand Bank in the District of Burin and Dominion of Newfoundland made
this 29th day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred
and twenty four.
I
hereby revoke all wills made by me at any time heretofore. I appoint
Charles Forward and William Forsey both of Grand Bank to be my Executors,
and direct that all my debts and funeral expenses shall be paid as
soon as conveniently may be after my decease.

I give and bequeath unto my son George if he returns to make
Grand Bank his home, and works on the business, one third of my said
business interests. If he does not return as above then he shall share
equally with my four daughters, Myrtle, Keziah, Olivia and Cora.

Two thirds of my floating property to my wife and four daughters,
that is all my interests in said property.

All monies left after my own and my wife’s death to be divided
between my four daughters in equal shares.

The farm on the Fortune Road to be divided equally between
my four daughters and two sons Ambrose and George.

My interests in Fish Stores and beaches to my son George and four daughters in equal parts.

My share in the ice house to my son George.
-
My dwelling house and surrounding grounds outhouses, furniture
to my unmarried daughter or daughters in consideration of
their care and kindness to my wife and myself if we read old age.

My plot of land adjoining Arch Gould’s to
my son George and
four daughters in equal parts.
-
My plot of land known as “Breakheart” to my daughter Cora.
-
My plot of land adjoining Mrs Woundy’s to
my daughter Olivia.
-
My piece of land adjoining my barn to my son George.
-
My two sections of land situated in the Province of Quebec
Canada to my grandchildren.

My mahogany bedroom suite formerly my mother’s to my daughter Kezia.
-
My water side premises situated between Cyrus Patten’s
property, and property of the Tibbo family to my grandson John
B Foote.

My landed property on Brunette Island to my son
George and four daughters in equal parts.

My six sections of land at Welland Canal Ontario Canada
to my four daughters in equal shares.
-
My fifty shares “in, Porcupine Grande Gold Mines Ltd.” to
my four daughters in equal shares.
-
My plot of land situated in “Muskedon Heights” in the
State of Michigan United States of America to my son George and my four
daughters in equal parts.

My barn and road leading to it to my sons Ambrose and George.

I desire that my business during the life time of myself
and wife shall be conducted under the name and style
of “John B. Foote & Sons”

The provisions of the foregoing bequests shall come
into effect only after my own and wife’s death.
