Will of William Fitzgerald
from Newfoundland will books volume 13 page 132 probate year 1925

In re
      WILLIAM FITZGERALD.     DECEASED.

In the name of God Amen.

This is the last Will & Testament of William Fitzgerald, being of sound mind and memory and understanding. I give devise and bequeath all my estate Real and Personal, as Follows:-

First. I leave my Grand Son James Fitzgerald my whole estate only one garden, bounded on the West by local road, on the on the South by main line on the North and East by my own property.    to my daughter Tressa Buttler.

Second. James is to live on the property. If not after the death of my wife Catherine, the estate is to be sold, and equally divided between my six Grand Children, and Daughter in Law Johanah Fitzgerald, while she assume that name.

Third. My wife Catherine is to live here as long as she lives or want to stay here, she is to occupy her own bed Room as long as she live without any hindrance whatever.

Fourth. James is to have fifteen dollars ($15.00) realized from sale of Cart Wheels & Suit of Clothes and Cap & 1 Oil Coat, 1 Oil Hat 2 Saws    1 hamer and 1 Tom halk & 2 planes.

Fifth. I leave to my brother Thomas Fitzgerald 1 Small garden adjoining his own property with wall included.

Sixth. I leave to my Sister Jane McCarthy, 1 Station of the Cross picture from my own bed Room.

Acknowledged by the undersigned Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witness thereunto, and I hereby appoint, D. Sullivan of Western Bay as my Executor.    WILLIAM his X mark FITZGERALD.
