Will of Andrew Fitzgerald
from Newfoundland will books volume 10 pages 569-570 probate year 1917

In re
      Andrew Fitzgerald          deceased.

      This is the last will and testament of me Andrew Fitzgerald of St. John’s fisherman made at St. John’s this 3rd day of July 1917.     I hereby revoke all former wills by me at any time made and declare this to be my last will and testament. I appoint my brother John Fitzgerald of Eleven Brennan Street St. John’s fisherman to be the sole executor hereof. I give devise and bequeath to Catherine Fitzgerald wife of the said John Fitzgerald my freehold land with two houses thereon occupied by four tenants situate on north East side of Convent Square, St. John’s, to be held by her in fee simple,
I give to each of the three children of my deceased brother James Fitzgerald namely to Patrick Fitzgerald of Mundy’s Pond Road, to Mary Fitzgerald housemaid at the Soldiers Camp at Mundys Pond and to Jane Fitzgerald Chafe wife of George Chafe a volunteer the sum of two hundred Dollars each
I direct my executor to expend the sum of one hundred Dollars for Masses for the Repose of the soul of my deceased brother Joseph Fitzgerald. I direct my executor to expend the sum of one hundred Dollars for Masses for the Repose of the soul of myself, Andrew Fitzgerald- all the rest residue and remainder of my houses lands tenements moneys goods chattels and effects of whatsoever nature and kind and wheresoever situate I give devise and bequeath to the said Catherine Fitzgerald wife of John Fitzgerald and her two daughters Mary and Gertrude Fitzgerald in equal shares. In testimony whereof I give have hereunto set my hand at St. John’s this third day of July 1917. Andrew Fitzgerald. - Signed by the said testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request and in the presence of the testator and of each other do hereunto subscribe our names as witnesses
