Will of Mary Finn
from Newfoundland will books volume 14 page 6 probate year 1927

In re
     MARY FINN.     DECEASED.

This is the last Will and Testament of me Mary Finn, of Military Road, St. John's, Newfoundland. I hereby revoke all former Wills and testaments made by me at any time whatsoever. I appoint as my Executors Rt. Rev Monsignor Roche, Administrator of the Archdiocese of St. John's, and Charles O'Neil Conroy, Barrister & Solicitor of this City. I direct that all my lawful debts be paid.

  • My House on Military Road in which I now live I leave to Gertrude Doyle (at present living with me), and her sister Agnes Doyle as joint tenants.
  • I leave five hundred dollars ($500.00) to Mount Cashel Orphanage;
  • three hundred dollars ($300.00) to the Catholic Clergy Fund Society;
  • one hundred dollars ($100.00) to the Presentation Convent Trepassey;
  • six hundred dollars ($600.00) for Masses according to my intention;
  • five hundred dollars ($500.00) to Gertrude Pedigrew, daughter of William Pedigrew of this City;
  • five hundred dollars ($500.00) to Mary O'Mara, daughter of Mrs David O'Mara of this City;
  • five hundred dollars ($500.00) to Annie Doyle of William Street this City;
  • five hundred dollars ($500.00) to Rose Howlett (nee Doyle) wife of William Howlett of this City;
  • the residue I leave to Rt. Rev Monsignor Roche in trust for Gertrude Doyle and Agnes Doyle aforesaid, in equal shares, to be advanced to them according to his discretion.

Dated at St. John's this 17th day of November 1914.
