Will of Patrick Feehan
(from Newfoundland will books vol 11 page 312 probate year 1919)

In re Patrick Feehan       deceased

The Last will and testament of me Patrick Feehan of St. John's. I direct all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses to be paid as conveniently may be after my decease. I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Mary {May} Feehan all the property goods chattels money and everything whatsoever of which I may die possessed and I appoint her the said Mary {May} Feehan to be the executor of this my will. In witness whereof I have set my hand the 11th, day of October 1915. Patrick Feehan. Signed by the testator and acknowledged by him to be his last will and testament in our presence who in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses. Martin.W.Furlong. Bertha M. Feehan.

Note: The wills in those will books are NOT actual wills. They are hand-written copies of a, "last will and testament," written by the court clerk, after the death of the testator, when the executor presented them to the court for probate. The court clerk didn't list the signatures at the bottom, he (or she) just put them in the book in whatever order they were in, on the original document, no spacing most of the time, no punctuation. The originals were kept by the executor.

We who have typed these wills, have made every effort to include all the errors that were on the microfilm, in order to avoid destroying the integrity of the originals, where ever they may be.
