Last Will and Testament of
John Farnham of Hearts Content
Batteryman deceased.
The Bank property, Hearts Content 25th June
1893
This is the last will and Testament of me John Farnham of Hearts Content Trinity
Bay.
1st I give and bequeath to my son James the land he occupies
adjoining Larry's Road above the cellar thence to the drain close to Frederick
Fewer also the meadow he occupies.
2nd I give and bequeath to my
son Frederick the full extension of the waterside premises and 50 square feet
of land adjoining the main road on the frontage for building shop & store
and also the corner of land below the cellar adjoining Larry's Road and thence
to the drain and the cellar and the dwelling house he occupies and store house
and cabbage garden and back field.
3rd I give and bequeath to my
sons William and Archibald the land from the main road bounded by Legge's lane
close to James fence and hence to the drain besides Fredericks 50
square feet and share betwixt themselves.
4th No son or offspring of Farnham's
not to erect fences or make drongs on the frontage of this land extending from
the main road adjoining Larry's Road thence to Legge's lane and James Meadow
fence and Frederick's cabbage garden fence must keep the boundary
fences all around in good repair. Keep the Harbor Property.
5th I give and
bequeath to my son Archibald the dwelling house and effects
and land attached after his Father and mother decease.
6th I give and bequeath
to my wife Maria the sum of £300 sterling and my masonic
insurance whatever it may realize.

us present at the same time and subscribed by us in the presence of the said
Testator and of each other this eight day of July anno Domini one thousand
