Notes:

Richard Patrick Voisey was one of possibly 12 children of Richard Voisey and his wife Mary Ann Gibbs. Nine siblings are listed in the will and his mother Mary Ann. I can document the following:

John Joseph Voisey = John Voisey in document b. 17 May 1883. John appears to have married, lost his wife and then married a widow Catherine nee ???? Walsh.

Mary Elizabeth Voisey = presumably Minnie Voisey in document  b. 23 Sep 1884

Richard Michael Voisey = b. 26 Feb 1886  not mentioned in document. possibly this is Richard Patrick as his declared age when joining the army in 1915 was 27.

William Patrick Voisey = William Voisey in document b. 13 Mar 1887

Edward Joseph Voisey = Edward Voisey in document. b. 03 Apr 1888 Edward may have married Margaret Simms.

Brigid Ann Voisey = Bride Voisey in document. b. 01 Jan 1889 Bride may have married David Simms.

Hannah Rose Voisey = presumably dead as not mentioned in document b. 08 Nov 1889 twin sister to Albert

Albert Joseph Voisey = Alfred Voisey in document b. 08 Nov 1889 twin brother to Hannah

Florence Voisey = Florence Voisey in document. b. Abt. Feb 1898 Florence married Frederick LeGrow

Maud Voisey = Maud Voisey in document b. ?????

Leo Michael Voisey = Leo Voisey in document. Leo was killed in action in France six months after his brother in October 1917. His war records indicate that he was presumed to be missing from Oct 1917 until presumed dead in May of 1918

At this stage my suspicions based on a fair amount of research place the father of Richard Patrick Voisey as most likely Richard Tucker Voisey, born to Richard Voisey and Elizabeth Tucker? on 13th August 1857 and baptised at St. Thomas Anglican Church. Richard Tucker Voisey if I am correct, died in 1916 and is buried with his wife Mary Ann Gibbs and son Leo. Mary Ann Gibbs is believed to have died in 1954.

If I am also correct in my research and deductive reasoning, Richard Voisey who married Elizabeth Tucker?? was a son of Richard Voisey from Buckfastleigh in Devon and his wife Catherine Jennings. Richard Voisey who married Elizabeth Tucker? is believed to have died as a Catholic on 29 Feb, 1904 but was baptised at the Anglican Cathedral in 1835.

All of the children of Richard Voisey and Elizabeth Tucker? were baptised at St. Thomas Anglican Church and the children pretty well all appear to have converted to the Catholic faith.

The war records for Richard Patrick Voisey can be found online at http://www.therooms.ca/regiment/soldier_files/Voisey_Richard_Patrick_rnr-1580.pdf

The war records for Leo Michael Voisey can be found online at http://www.therooms.ca/regiment/soldier_files/Voisey_Leo_Michael_rnr-1305.pdf

The equivalent will for Leo Michael Voisey is listed here but as of January 2011 has not been transcribed and posted online. http://ngb.chebucto.org/Wills/1estate-v-idx.shtml
