TO THE HONOURABLE THE SUPREME COURT OF NEWFOUNDLAND OR ONE OF THE HONOURABLE THE JUDGES THEREOF.

The Petition of Ralph Victor Howell, of Mount Pearl, in the Province of Newfoundland, Salesman.

HUMBLY SHEWETH AS FOLLOWS:

  1.           William Henry Howell, late of Mount Pearl, in the Electoral District of St. John's West, Newfoundland, Retired, deceased, died at Mount Pearl aforesaid on or about the 2nd. day of April, A. D. 1965, having made no will.
  2.           The said William Henry Howell left him surviving, as next of kin, one son, Ralph Victor Howell, age 52 years, Salesman, of Mount Pearl aforesaid, Your Petitioner herein and no others.
  3.           The paper writing hereto annexed marked "A" is a correct, true and full Inventory and Valuation of the property and effects of the deceased at the time of his death as far as Your Petitioner can ascertain.
  4.           No claims have been made against the Estate of the deceased in answer to the advertisement published in the Daily News on the 23rd. and 30th. days of April, 1965 and the 7th. and 14th. days of May, 1965 and in the Newfoundland Gazette on the 27th. day of April and the 4th., 11th. and 18th. days of May, 1965 and the deceased did not owe any money to any person.
  5.           No Letters of Probate to any Will nor Administration of the Estate of the said deceased have been granted forth of this Honourable Court.

Your Petitioner therefore humbly prays that this Honourable Court or Your Lordship may be pleased to grant to him Letters of Probate Administration of the Estate of the said deceased, and Your Petitioner as in duty bound will ever pray etc. etc. RVH

I, Ralph Victor Howell
of Mount Pearl, in the Electoral District of (blank) in the Island of Newfoundland, make oath and say, that
William Henry Howell
late of Mount Pearl in the Electoral District of            in the Island aforesaid Retired deceased, died intestate; that I will well and faithfully administer the estate and effects of the said deceased, by paying his just debts and distributing the residue of his estate and effects, according to law; that I will exhibit a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the said estate and effects, and render a just and true account thereof whenever required by law so to do; that the said deceased died at Mount Pearl on the 2nd. day of April, one thousand nine hundred and sixty-five; and that the gross value of the said estate and effects of the deceased is Four thousand and Eighty dollars and thirty cents dollars and no more according to the best of my knowledge, information and belief.
