Notes for transcription:

Edward Martin was a son of Richard Martin and Louisa (Cantwell)?? from Harbour Grace.  Richard was a son of Francis Martin and Jane Snow of Harbour Grace.  Richard appears to have moved back and forth between Black Island in the Exploits region and Harbour Grace in the early 1840s and then finally settled in the Black Island region.  His first child William was born 1841 in Black Island and second son Francis was born in Harbour Grace 1845.

Edward was born circa 1852 and was married three times.  He married Emma Rose of Twillingate in 1882, Fanny Whitt of Kettle Cove in 1915 and Jane Rowsell in 1916.

Henry Frederick Fitzgerald was married to Marion Martin, daughter of Matthew Martin and Jane Maria Mercer who were all of Harbour Grace.  Marion was the second cousin once removed of Edward.
