I, Denis Burke, of St. Jacques in the electoral district of Fortune make oath and say that I am one of the executors of the said Julia Burke, and that the above is, to the best of my knowledge, information and belief, a just and true Inventory and Valuation of the Property of the said deceased at the time of her death, as far as I can at present ascertain.

NEWFOUNDLAND
To Wit
I Henry R. Clinton of St. Jacques in the electoral district of Fortune make oath and say that on the 17th day of August A.D. One Thousand Eight Hundred and ninety two, I was present and did see Julia Burke late of St. Jacques, aforesaid, the Testatrix named in the paper writing hereunto annexed, marked A, duly sign, publish and declare the said annexed paper writing as and for her last Will and Testament, in my presence and in the presence of Patrick D. Burke, also of St. Jacques, the other subscribing witness thereto. That I and said Patrick D. Burke, then and there signed our names to such Will as such witnesses, in the presence of the said Testatrix and of each other, and that at the time of the said execution of the said Will the said Testatrix was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, to the best of Deponent's knowledge and belief.

the Honorable the Supreme Court or to one of the Honorable the Judges
thereof for letters of probate to the will and estate of Julia Burke late of St. Jacques deceased to be made to Denis Burke Sr. and Michael Burke Jr. both of St. Jacques the executors therein
named.

The petition of Denis Burke Sr. and Michael Burke Jr. both of St. Jacques in the electoral district of Fortune, Merchants
Humbly Sheweth
- That Julia Burke late of St. Jacques aforesaid deceased widow of the late Patrick Burke died at that place on or about the 20th day of March A.D. 1901
- That said deceased left a will of which she appointed your petitioners executors as by reference to the said will hereto annexed will more fully appear.
- That at the time of her death the said Julia Burke was possessed of property within the jurisdiction of this Honorable Court of the probable value of (Can't be sure what the amount is; nearly illegible)
- That said deceased left surviving her as next of kin four sons and two daughters
- That as far as your petitioners can ascertain and are aware no probate or administration to the estate of the said Julia Burke has been granted out of your Honorable Court to any person nor has any person applied for same.
Your petitioners therefore pray that your Honorable Court or your
Lordship will be pleased to grant unto them letters of administration to the
said will and estate of the said Julia Burke.
And as in duty bound they will ever pray etc, etc.,

We, Denis Burke Sr. and Michael Burke Jr. of St. Jacques in the Electoral District of Fortune Bay, merchants, make oath and say:
That we believe the paper writing hereto annexed and marked by us to contain the true and original last Will and Testament of Julia Burke late of St. Jacques in the Electoral District of Fortune Bay, Widow, deceased : That we are the Executors therein named and that we will well and faithfully administer the estate and effects of the testator by paying her just debts and the legacies contained in Will and by distributing the residue (if any) of the said estate, rights and credits according to law: and that we will exhibit under oath a true, full and perfect inventory of all and singular the estate and effects, rights and credits, of the testatrix and render a just and true account thereof whenever required by law so to do: that the testatrix died at St. Jacques aforesaid on the 20th day of March one thousand nine hundred and one and that the gross value of the estate and effects, rights and credits of the said testatrix is One thousand dollars, and no more, according to the best of our knowledge, information and belief.
