NEWFOUNDLAND
St. Johns To Wit:          I Frederick A. Stabb of St. Johns aforesaid, Medical Practitioner, do swear that I believe that Fanny Elizabeth Stabb, late of St. Johns, aforesaid, Widow, deceased, died without a Will; and that I will well and truly administer all and every the Goods of the said deceased and pay her debts, so far as his Goods will extend: and that I will exhibit a true, full and perfect Inventory of the said Goods of the deceased, and render a true account of my Administration into the Registry of the said Court, within six months from the date hereof, or when I shall be thereunto lawfully required; and that the whole of the Goods, Rights, Chattels, Assets, Credits and Effects of the said deceased of which she died possessed, within the jurisdiction of this Court, do not, according to the best of my knowledge, judgment and belief, amount to the value of Two thousand dollars.

So help me God

In the Estate of Fanny Elizabeth Stabb of St. Johns, Widow, deceased we Arthur S. Rendell of St. Johns in the Central District of Newfoundland, Commission Merchant, and William H. Greene of St. Johns in the Central District of Newfoundland, Architect, severally make oath and say:
That we are the proposed sureties on behalf of the intended administratrix of the property of Fanny Elizabeth Stabb deceased, in the within bond named, for the faithful administration of the said estate and effects, rights and credits of the said deceased; and I the said Arthur S. Rendell of St. Johns in the Central District, make oath and say that I reside at St. Johns and am worth property to the amount of two thousand dollars, over and above all encumbrances and over and above what will pay my just debts, and every other sum for which I am now bail, or for which I am liable as surety or endorser or otherwise, and I the said William H. Greene for myself make oath and say, that I reside at St. Johns and am worth property to the amount of two thousand dollars over and above all encumbrances and over and above what will pay my just debts and every other sum for which I am now bail or for which I am liable as surety or endorser or otherwise.

Be it Remembered That on this 24th day of May in the 63rd Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lady Victoria, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, Queen, Defender of the Faith, &c, and in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred personally appeared Frederick A. Stabb of St. Johns, Medical Practitioner, Arthur S. Rendell of St. Johns, Commission Merchant and William H. Greene of St. Johns, Architect, and did acknowledge themselves to be held and firmly bound to our said Sovereign Lady the Queen, Her Heirs and Successors, in the penal sum of Two thousand dollars to be had, made and levied on his Goods, Chattels and Effects, jointly and severally, if Default is made in any of the conditions following :---

Now the Condition of this Obligation is such, that if the above bounden Frederick A. Stabb as Administrator of the Estate and Effects of Fanny Elizabeth Stabb, late of St. Johns, aforesaid, Widow, deceased, do make or cause to be made, a just, true, and perfect inventory of all and singular the Goods, Credits and Effects of the said deceased, which have or shall come to the hands, possession, or knowledge of him the said Frederick A. Stabb as such Administrator or to the hands or possession of any other person, or persons, for him and the same so made do exhibit, or cause to be exhibited, in the Supreme Court of Newfoundland, at or before the 24th day of November, next ensuing the date hereof; and the said Goods, Chattels, Credits and Effects, and all other the Goods, Chattels, Credits and Effects of the said deceased, at the time of her death, or which at any time afterwards shall come into the hands or possession of him the said Frederick A. Stabb, or to the hands or possession of any other person or persons for him shall well and truly administer according to Law, and further shall make, or cause to be made, a just and true account of his said Administration, on or before the 24th day of May, which will be in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand nine hundred and one, and afterwards from time to time as he shall be lawfully required. And all the rest, residue, and remainder of the said Goods, Chattels, Credits and Effects, which shall be found remaining upon the said Administration Account, the same being examined and allowed by the said Supreme Court of Newfoundland, shall and do pay and dispose of in due course of Administration, or in such a manner as the said Court shall direct; then this obligation to be void and of no effect, or else to be and remain in full force and virtue.

NOTICE

After three days from the date hereof, application will be made to the Honorable Surpreme Court or one of their Lordships, the Judges thereof, for Letters of Administration ad litem to the estate of Fanny Elizabeth Stabb, late of Saint Johns, Newfoundland, Widow, deceased, to be granted to Frederick E. Stabb, of Saint Johns, aforesaid, Physician.
          St. Johns, this 18th day of April, A.D. 1900

To the Honorable Supreme Court of Newfoundland, or one of their Lordships, the Judges thereof.

The Petition of Frederick A. Stabb of Saint Johns in the Island of Newfoundland, Medical Practitioner.

Humbly Sheweth

  1. That Fanny Elizabeth Stabb, late of Saint Johns in the Island of Newfoundland, Widow, died at this place in the month of January A.D. 1896, intestate, leaving her surviving as next of kin the following children; Lilla, Rendell, Agnes West, Sarah White, and your Petitioner.
  2. That the probable value of the property and estate of the said Fanny Elizabeth Stabb, both within the Jurisdiction of this Honorable Court and outside this Colony, does not exceed the sum of One thousand dollars.
  3. That no application for administration to the estate of the said deceased, has heretofore been made to your Honorable Court
  4. Your Petitioner therefore humbly

    Prays that Your Honorable Court or one of your Lordships, the Judges thereof, will be pleased to grant unto him Letters of Administration to the Estate of the said Fanny Elizabeth Stabb.

          And as in duty bound, your petitioner will ever pray etc etc.
