To Wit I John Strapp of Harbor Grace aforesaid, Gentleman, make oath and say that on the 23rd day of May 1900 at Harbor Grace aforesaid, I was present and did see Michael O'Brien late of Harbor Grace aforesaid, the Testator named in the paper writing hereunto annexed marked "A" duly sign publish and declare the said annexed paper writing as and for his last Will and Testament in my presence and in the presence of Thomas Lynch the other subscribing witness thereto. That I and the said Thomas Lynch then and there signed our names to such Will as such witnesses in the presence of the said testator and of each other. That previously to the said will being so signed as aforesaid by the testator and the said witnesses, it was read over to and approved of by the said testator in my presence and in the presence of the said Thomas Lynch, and that at the time of the said execution of the said Will, the said testator was of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding to the best of my knowledge and belief.

In the name of God, Amen.
This is the last Will and Testament of Michael O'Brien of Harbor Grace, Planter
- I hereby appoint William J. Lynch of Harbor Grace, Clerk of the Peace, Executor of my Estate.
- I give and bequeath all my land with the property thereon situate at Punch Bowl, Labrador, consisting of one fishing room, Dwelling house, stores, and houses, four traps with gear, all boats about ninety tons of salt, about twelve hundred herring barrels and all other material used in the prosecution of the fishery to my sons Roger and Michael in equal shares.
- I give and bequeath to my son Thomas my land with fishing room thereon situate at Corbett's Harbor, Labrador and whatever fishing material is thereon.
- I give and bequeath to my sons Roger and Michael jointly my land and fishing room thereon situate at Webbin's? Cove, Labrador and all fishing material thereon.
- I give and bequeath to my son Michael my land with a house thereon situate at Mosquito and known as Manny's Farm to the West of William Hanrahan's property and also my land situate at Mosquito and known as Manny's Land to the south of William Hanrahan property and the public road.
- I give and bequeath to my son Roger my land known as Manny's Place, situate at Mosquito, north of Connolly's property; also my

land situate at Mosquito known as Keefe's property where the cellar is,
also my land situate at Mosquito, known as Dunphy's land and also my land situate at Mosquito known as Lane's Garden.
- I give and bequeath to my son Thomas my land situate at Mosquito known as Keough's property bounded on the west by a road, on the East by the
property known as Dunphy's land, on the north by the railway track, on the
south by a marsh.
- I give and bequeath to my daughters Alice and Eugene jointly my land
situate at Mosquito known as Keefe's property with house and barn thereon,
bounded on the South by a brook, on the North & West by the main road and
on the East by the property known as Manny's.

The above Will was proved before me at Harbor Grace aforesaid this 6th day of November AD 1900 at 3 o'clock pm upon the affidavit of John Strapp, one of the subscribing witnesses, thereto.

The Petition of William J. Lynch of Harbor Grace, Clerk of the Peace
Humbly Sheweth
- That Michael O'Brien late of Harbor Grace, Planter, deceased, died at that place on the 29th day of October last past, having previously made and executed his Last Will and Testament.
- That under the said will your Petitioner was appointed sole Executor thereof.
- That the said deceased left him surviving as next of Kin three sons and ??? daughters, to wit: Thomas, Rodger, Alice Lynete, (Married woman) Michael, Eugenie Kennedy (married woman)
- That the said deceased left property, Estate & effects within the jurisdiction of your honourable Court of the probable value of five hundred dollars as per schedule annexed and marked A.
- That no probate has as yet been issued out of your Honourable Court.

Your Petitioner thereof humbly prays that your Honourable court or one of the Judges thereof for probate to the will of the said Michael O'Brien deceased.
And as in duty bound your petitioner will ever pray.

I William Lynch of Harbor Grace in the Electoral District of Harbor Grace ??? ??? make oath and say: That I believe the paper writing hereto annexed and marked by me to contain the true and original last Will and Testament of Michael O'Brien late of Harbor Grace Planter in the Electoral District of Harbor GraceĀ deceased : That I am ?????????????????? therein named and that I will well and faithfully administer the estate and effects of the testator by paying his just debts and the legacies contained in his said Will and Testament so far as the same shall thereto extend and the law bind me, and by distributing the residue (if any) of the said estate, according to law: and that I will exhibit under oath a true, full and perfect inventory of all and singular the estate and effects, rights and credits, of the testator and render a just and true account thereof whenever required by law so to do: that the testator died at Harbor Grace aforesaid on the twenty? ninth? day of October last past one thousand nine hundred and that the gross value of the estate and effects, rights and credits of the said testator is Five hundred dollars, and no more, according to the best of my knowledge, information and belief.
