To the Honourable the Supreme Court of Newfoundland or one of their Lordships the Judges thereof.

The Petition of Mary Murphy of Carbonear in the Island of Newfoundland, Widow

Humbly Sheweth

1. That Moses Edward Murphy of Carbonear aforesaid, a minor, a son of your Petitioner, is entitled to a sum of money amounting to between four hundred and five hundred dollars, being the distributive share payable to him from the intestate estate of his father, Michael Murphy, late of Carbonear aforesaid, deceased.
2. That the said Moses Edward Murphy is less than seven years of age and resides with your Petitioner at Carbonear, aforesaid.
3. That no application for Guardianship to the Estate of the said Moses Edward Murphy has heretofore been made to your Honorable Court.

Your Petitioner therefore humbly prays that your Honorable Court or one of your Lordships the Judges thereof will be pleased to grant unto your Petitioner or to the Chief Clerk of

Your Honorable Court, Letters of Guardianship to the Estate and effects of the said Moses Edward Murphy, a minor.
And as in duty bound Your Petitioner will ever pray, etc.
