To the Honourable the Supreme Court of Newfoundland, or one of your Lordships the Judges thereof.

The Petition of Mary Murphy of Carbonear in the Island of Newfoundland, Widow.

Humbly Sheweth

  1. That Michael Murphy of Carbonear aforesaid, a minor, a son of your Petitioner, is entitled to a sum of money amounting to between four hundred and five hundred dollars, being the distributive share payable to him from the intestate estate of his father, Michael Murphy, late of Carbonear aforesaid deceased.
  2. That the said Michael Murphy Junior is less than seven years of age and resides with your Petitioner at Carbonear aforesaid.
  3. That no application for Guardianship to the Estate of the said Michael Murphy has heretofore been made to your Honourable Court.

Your Petitioner therefore humbly prays that Your Honourable Court or one of your Lordships the Judges thereof will be pleased to grant unto your Petitioner or to the

Chief Clerk of your Honourable Court, Letters of Guardianship to the Estate and effects of the said Michael Murphy, a minor.
And, as in duty bound your Petitioner will ever pray etc.
