And in the application of G. M. Johnson for her executors that the probate? granted in England ?? under with the seal of the said Superintendant.

The following is an inventory of the estate in Newfoundland of the deceased and I am informed and ??? believe that the same is a just valuation of the assets in Newfoundland of said estate.

After three days, application will be made to the Supreme Court or a Judge thereof for an order that the letters of probate of the said will granted by Her Majesty's High Court of Probate (District of Carlisle?) be sealed with the Seal of the Supreme Court of Newfoundland.

The petition of George M. Johnson of St. Johns in the said Island, Solicitor

Humbly Sheweth

That Henry Moore, late of Millcote, Egremont in the County of Cumberland, England, mining engineer, (formerly of Milcote, Egremont, aforesaid) died at St. Johns, aforesaid on the Eleventh day of January last, having at the time of his decease (as appears true? the paper writing hereto annexed marked A) a fixed place of abode at Milcote aforesaid within the district of the Counties of Cumberland and Westmorland.
That hereto annexed marked (A) is a true copy of the original letters probate of the will of the said late Henry Moore granted on the 19th day of May 1900 by her Majesty's High Court of Justice under the seal of the said High Court of the ???
??? of Carlisle to John Jr? ??? Moore and William Moore brothers of the said late Henry Moore the executors named in the said Will, a copy of which will be hereto annexed marked (B).
Your petitioner e???y requests? your Honourable Court or Judge thereof to the original letters of probate of the said will referred to in the 2nd paragraph of

this petition which he herewith produces to your Honourable Court, for the purpose of having the same sealed with the seal of the said Supreme Court pursuant to Ca?? 19, passed in the 56th year of the Reign of Her present Majesty.
4. The said letters of probate have been forwarded to your petitioners by the executors therein named with instructions to take such steps as may be necessary in the Colony to have the said probate passed in Newfoundland.
5. The estate of the said late Henry Moore in this Colony does not exceed the sum of $1000.00 in value as your petitioner is advised and verily believes.
6. No letters of probate of the said will or of administration of the said estate have been granted by your Honourable Court.

          Your petitioner prays that the original letters of probate of the will of the said late Henry Moore granted as aforesaid by Her Majesty's High Court of Justice may be sealed with the seal of the Supreme Court of Newfoundland in conformity to the provisions of the Probate Recognition Act 1895.

          And as in duty bound petitioner will ever pray &c

PROBATE:          THE DISTRICT PROBATE OF ENTRY AT CARLISLE

IN HER MAJESTY'S HIGH COURT OF JUSTICE

BE IT KNOWN that Henry Moore of Milcote, Egremont, in the County of Cumberland, Mining Engineer, formerly of ?illgrove, at Saint Johns in the Colony of Newfoundland and at the time of his death had a fixed place of abode at Milcote aforesaid within the district of the Counties of Cumberland Westmoreland AND BE IT FURTHER KNOWN that at the date hereunder written the last Will and Testament (a copy whereof is hereunto annexed) of the said deceased, was proved and registered in the District Probate Registry of Her Majesty's High Court of Justice at Carlisle and that Administration of all the estate which by ??? devolves to and vests in the personal representative of the said deceased was granted by the aforesaid Court to John Joseph Moore and William Moore, brothers of the said deceased, the executors named in the said Will and it is hereby certified that an affidavit for Inland Revenue has been delivered wherein it is shown that the gross value of the said estate within the United Kingdom (exclusive of what the said deceased may have been possessed of or entitled to as a trustee and not beneficially) amounts to £1907.7.11 And it is further certified that it appears by a Receipt signed by an Island Revenue Officer on the said Affidavit that £54. 5. 9 for Estate Duty and interest on such duty has been paid, the duty being charged at the rate of £3 per cent.

THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me Henry Moore of Gillgrove Egremont in the County of Cumberland Mining Engineer I APPOINT my brothers John Joseph Moore and William Moore executors of this my will and I direct them so soon as conveniently may be after my decease to pay off and discharge all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses I GIVE my watch and chain and gold scarf pin set with pearls to my brother William Moore I GIVE AND BEQUEATH to my father John Moore all the moneys that may be due and received from the Scottish Provincial Assurance Society in respect of the Policy of Assurance on my life therein I GIVE to each of my sisters in law Lizzie Hughes and Martha Rees the legacy of Eight Hundred Pounds being the Interest derived by me as the representative of my late wife under the Will of her father Robert Coulthard deceased or entitled or which I have power to dispose of or to appoint by this my Will unto my said brothers John Joseph Moore and William Moore UPON TRUST to sell call in and convert into money the same or such part thereof as shall not consist of money and shall with and out of the moneys produced by such sale calling in and conversion and with and out of my ready money pay my debts funeral and testamentary expenses and the legacies hereinbefore mentioned but so that the proceeds of Real Estate shall not be applied in payment of the said legacies unless the other moneys applicable thereto under this trust shall be insufficient for payment thereof and shall stand possessed of the residuary trust moneys IN TRUST to pay and divide the same equally between and amongst my brothers the said John Joseph Moore and William Moore and Robert Moore or the issue of such of them as may be then dead leaving issue

such issue to take and if more than one equally between them the share which his or their parent would have taken of and in my residuary trust funds if such parent had survived me HEREBY REVOKING all former and other Wills I DECLARE this only to be my last Will and Testament. IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunto set my hand this twenty-fourth day of June One thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight HENRY MOORE---SIGNED by the said Henry Moore the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us present at the same time who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.
