To the Honorable the Supreme Court of Newfoundland or to one of the Honorable the Judges thereof. The Petition of Charles Fleet of Cuckhold's Cove near Trinity in the Northern District, Fisherman Humbly Sheweth That Your Petitioner's father, George Fleet, late of Cuckhold's Cove near Trinity in the Northern District, Fisherman, died there on the Fourth day of November 1898, having made and published his last will and testament, which is hereto annexed. That the said George Fleet left him surviving as sole next of kin, two children, namely, your Petitioner and Jane White also of Cuckhold's Cove, wife of George White, and his wife Jane Fleet. That hereto annexed is the written consent of the said Jane White and the said Jane Fleet to the appointment of Joseph Morris of Trinity, Trader, as Administrator to the Estate of the said George Fleet. That the said George Fleet at his decease, was possessed of property within the jurisdiction of this Honorable Court of the probable value of one thousand six hundred dollars. Jane White Witness I hereby certify that on this day I visited Jane Fleet at present of Trinity, Widow of George Fleet late of Cuckhold's Cove aforesaid, Fisherman, deceased. That on applying to her for her consent for administration c.t.a. to be granted to Joseph Morris as prayed by this Petitioner, I found her ??? infirm and not of sound mind and judgment; and in my opinion quite unable to understand or to sign the foregoing consent.
