make oath and say that I am Executor of the Will of deceased and that the above is, to the best of my knowledge, information and belief, a just and true Inventory and Valuation of the Property of the said deceased at the time of his death, as far as I can at present ascertain.

Notice

Three days from the date hereof application will be made to the Hon the Supreme Court or one of the Hon the Judges thereof for Probate to the last Will of James J. Callanan late of S. Johns grocer deceased to be granted to F. Morris and Elenor[sic] Callanan the Executor and Executrix named in said Will.
          Dated at S. Johns this 18th day of June AD 1900

TO THE HONOURABLE THE SUPREME
COURT OR ONE OF THE HONOURABLE THE JUDGES THEREOF.

          The Petition of Frank J. Morris of St. Johns Barrister, and Elenor Callanan widow of the late James J. Callanan deceased humbly sheweth as follows:-
          That James J. Callanan late of St. Johns grocer deceased died at St. Johns on the 9th day of June A.D. 1900
          That previous to his death the said deceased made and executed his last will and testament which is hereto annexed upon the affidavit of F. P. Morris one of the subscribing witnesses thereto.
          That in and by said last will and testament Petitioners were appointed Executor and Executrix thereof.
          That at the time of his death the said deceased was possessed of property within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court of the probable value of four thousand dollars.
                    That neither Probate to any last will nor Letters of Administration to the Estate of said deceased has yet been granted to any person.
          Your Petitioners therefore pray that your Honourable Court will grant them Probate to the will of said deceased as Executor and Executrix thereof and as in duty bound will ever pray.
          Dated at St. Johns this 5th day of July A.D. 1900

St. John's To Wit

          I, Edward P. Morris of St. Johns aforesaid, one of Her Majesty's Counsel make oath and say that on the eighth day of June A.D. one thousand nine hundred I was present and did see James J. Callanan late of St. Johns aforesaid Grocer, the Testator named in the paper writing hereunto annexed, marked A, duly sign, publish and declare the said annexed paper writing as and for his last Will and Testament, in my presence and in the presence of Albert W. O'Reilly the other subscribing witness thereto. That I and said Albert W. O'Reilly then and there signed our names to such Will as such witnesses, in the presence of the said Testator and of each other. And that at the time of the said execution of the said Will the said Testator was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, to the best of my knowledge and belief.

This is the last will and testament of James Callanan of S. Johns grocer made this 8th day of June AD 1900. I give devise and bequeath to my wife Elenor Callanan all the property monies life insurance stock in trade and everything of every description of which I shall die possessed for her sole use and benefit, to be disposed of by her during her life time and at her death as she shall deem fit.
I appoint my friend F. J. Morris and my said wife Elenor executor and executrix of this my will.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my hand at Saint Johns the day and date first above written.
Signed published and declared by the said testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

In the Estate of James J. Callanan late of S. Johns Grocer deceased We Elenor Callanan of S. Johns, Widow and Frank J. Morris of St. Johns in the Electoral District of S. Johns, Barrister at Law, make oath and say that we believe the paper writing hereto annexed and marked by us to contain the true and original last Will and Testament of James J. Callanan late of S. Johns in the Electoral District of S. Johns deceased: That we are the Executors therein named, and that we will well and faithfully administer the estate and effects of the testator by paying his just debts and the legacies contained in his Will so far as the same shall thereto extend and the law bind us and by distributing the residue (if any) of the estate according to law; and that we will exhibit under oath a true, full and perfect inventory of all and singular the estate and effects, rights and credits, of the testator and render a just and true account thereof whenever required by law so to do; that the testator died at S. Johns aforesaid on the Eighth day of June one thousand nine hundred and that the gross value of the estate and effects, rights and credits, of the said testator is Four thousand and two 11/100 dollars, and no more, according to the best of our knowledge, information and belief.
