In the Supreme Court of Newfoundland

NEWFOUNDLAND
Trinity   To Wit          I do swear that I believe this to be the true Last Will and Testament of Mary Stoneman of Trinity Widow. I do further swear that I will pay all the Debts and Legacies of the said deceased so far as her Goods shall extend, and the law shall bind me, and that I will exhibit a full, true and perfect Inventory of all and every the Goods, Rights and Credits of the deceased, together with a just and true account into the Registry of the Supreme Court of Newfoundland, when I shall be lawfully called thereto. And I do further swear that the whole of the Goods, Rights, Chattels, Assets, Credits and Effects of the said Mary Stoneman deceased, and of which she died possessed, do not, according to the best of my knowledge, judgment and belief, amount to the value of two thousand two hundred dollars

Notice

After three days application will be made to the Honourable the Supreme Court or to one of the Honourable the Judges thereof for probate of the will of Mary Stoneman late of Trinity in the Northern District Widow deceased to be granted to Tryphena Hussey of Trinity aforesaid Married woman the sole executrix named in said will.

          Dated at St. Johns this 7th day of December A.D. 1895.

A

This is the last Will and Testament of me Mary Stoneman of Trinity Widow of George ? Stoneman. First I revoke all former wills by me at any time made and declare this to be my last will and testament. Second I hereby give devise and bequeath to my daughter Tryphena Stoneman wife of Samuel Hussey all my land, dwelling house, ??? and all other goods chattels and effects of every description of which I shall die possessed t??? the same to my said daughter Tryphena Hussey for her sole separate and absolute use forever. ??? I hereby appoint my said daughter Tryphena Hussey sole Executrix of this my will.
Witness my hand at Trinity this Twenty? ninth? day of May A.D. one thousand eight hundred and ninty five.

NEWFOUNDLAND
St. John's   To Wit          I Robert White of Trinity Doct'r of Medicine make oath and say that on the Twenty Seventh day of May A.D. one thousand eight hundred and ninety five at Trinity aforesaid I was present and did see Mary Stoneman late of Trinity widow the Testatrix named in the paper writing hereunto annexed duly sign, publish and declare the said annexed paper writing, marked A, as and for her last Will and Testament, in the presence of me and of Edward Doyle of Trinity Sub-Collector of Customs the other subscribing witness thereto. That I and said Edward Doyle then and there signed our names to such Will as such witnesses, in the presence of the said Testatrix and of each other and that at the time of the said execution of the said Will the said Testatrix was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, to the best of my knowledge and belief.

The Petition of Tryphena Hussey of Trinity in the Northern district Married Woman

Respectfully showeth as follows:

  1. Mary Stoneman late of Trinity aforesaid Widow died there on the 27th day of May last having previously made her last will and testament which is hereto annexed marked A of which she appointed your Petitioner sole Executrix.
  2. The said Mary Stoneman at the time of her death was possessed of property of the probable value of $2200.00.

Petitioner therefore prays that probate of Will of said Mary Stoneman may be granted to her.
          Dated at Trinity this Sixteenth day of December A.D. 1895.
