Notice Three days from the date hereof application
will be made to the honorable the Supreme
Court or one of the Honorable the Judges
thereof for Letters of Administration Cum
Testamento annexo to the Last Will and
Testament of Henry Pope late of St. Johns
Cabinet Maker deceased to be granted to Sarah Pope the widow of said deceased.
Certificate I hereby Certify that the notice on
the other side hereof written, was
posted in my office on the day of
date thereof to this day; and that
no caveat or other objection has
been entered thereto. Geo. I. Adams
(Extremely difficult to transcribe the following) A In the name of God Amen. This is the last Will and Testament of me Henry Pope of St. Johns Cabinet Maker ???. I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Sarah Pope all my property house goods ??? and effects to have and to hold the same for and during her life time and after her death said property to be divided as follows: That is to say, the dwelling house situated on Buchannan Street in the town of St. Johns together with the land, I will as follows. To my two daughters Florence? and Queen? ??? ??? the upstairs portion and Queen? the downstairs part? in rear of said dwelling house to be divided between them as follows. the nearest half? to the house to go with the downstairs portion of said house The remaining half? to the upstairs. The water? pump? and well? therein? the dwelling house situate north side of George St, the dwelling house No 109 South side of Georges Street and the dwelling house situate on the south side of Georges Street and no? 99 to go to and be the property of my three sons. Thomas, William and Henry? respectively, provided my three sons work together and ??? on the ???ers and ??? which they now work? at with me my said son living in the ???try and are ??? to their mother, other wise my said wife may dis??iss? them? or any of my said sons who may violate the above conditions of these requests. It is also my will and desire that my said sons will grow? and out? of the Trade and business ??? trade and pay to my said daughter Queen yearly and until she attains the age of twenty one a sum sufficient for her support, and give my daughter ??? a house if she requires it. It is also
my will and desire that should either? of my said daughters predecease the others therein? and in such case the surviving one is to have the share of the one deceased. It is also my will and desire that this should apply to the bequests to my said sons, if either predeceases the others then their share of their? co? dying will go to the surviving ones.

In the Supreme Court In the Matter of the Estate of I Lawrence Parker of St. Johns in the Central District General Dealer make oath and say as follows:
Sworn before me at Geo. Adams
To the Honorable the Supreme Court of Newfoundland or one of the Honorable the Judges thereof The petition of Sarah Pope of St. Johns Widow of the late Henry Pope deceased Humbly Sheweth as follows That your petitioners late husband the late Henry Pope late of St. Johns Cabinet maker deceased died at St. Johns aforesaid on or about the 2nd day of March last past.
That neither probate to any former will nor Letters of Administration to the estate of said deceased has yet been granted to any person.

Supreme Court of Newfoundland Be it Remembered That on this 31st day of May in the 58th Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lady Victoria, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, Queen, Defender of the Faith, &c, and in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and ninety five personally appeared Sarah Pope of St. Johns Widow, John B. Curran of St John's Commission Merchant and Michael Power of St. Johns Master Cooper and did acknowledge themselves to be held and firmly bound to our said Sovereign Lady the Queen, Her Heirs and Successors, in the penal sum of Eighteen hundred dollars to be had, made and levied on his Goods, Chattels and Effects, jointly and severally, if Default is made in any of the conditions following :--- Now the Condition of this Obligation is such, that if the above bounden Sarah Pope as Administratrix (with the will annexed) of the Estate and Effects of Henry Pope late of St. Johns, Cabinet Maker, deceased, do make or cause to be made, a just, true, and perfect inventory of all and singular the Goods, Credits and Effects of the said deceased, which have or shall come to the hands, possession, or knowledge of her the said Sarah Pope as such Administratrix or to the hands or possession of any other person, or persons, for her and the same so made do exhibit, or cause to be exhibited, in the Supreme Court of Newfoundland, at or before the 31st day of November next ensuing the date hereof; and the said Goods, Chattels, Credits and Effects, and all other the Goods, Chattels, Credits and Effects of the said deceased, at the time of her death, or which at any time afterwards shall come into the hands or possession of her the said Administratrix or to the hands or possession of any other person or persons for her shall well and truly administer according to Law, and further shall make, or cause to be made, a just and true account of her said Administration, on or before the 31st day of May which will be in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and ninety six and afterwards from time to time as she shall be lawfully required. And all the rest, residue, and remainder of the said Goods, Chattels, Credits and Effects, which shall be found remaining upon the said Administration Account, the same being examined and allowed by the said Supreme Court of Newfoundland, shall and do pay and dispose of in due course of Administration, or in such a manner as the said Court shall direct; then this obligation to be void and of no effect, or else to be and remain in full force and virtue. her
