NEWFOUNDLAND
To Wit
We Moses King and John King executors named in the will of William Alfred King do swear that we believe this to be the true Last Will and Testament of William Alfred King of White Point, Trinity Bay fisherman deceased do further swear that we will pay all the Debts and Legacies of the said deceased so far as his Goods shall extend, and the law shall bind us, and that we will exhibit a full, true and perfect Inventory of all and every the Goods, Rights and Credits of the deceased, together with a just and true account into the Registry of the Supreme Court of Newfoundland, when we shall be lawfully called thereto. And we do further swear that the whole of the Goods, Rights, Chattels, Assets, Credits and Effects of the said deceased, and of which he died possessed, do not, according to the best of our knowledge, judgment and belief, amount to the value of eleven hundred dollars

The Petition of Moses King of New Bonaventure and John King of White Point Planters
Humbly Sheweth
- That William Alfred King late of White Point in the District of Trinity fisherman died at White Point aforesaid on or about the ---- [sic] day of August A.D. 1893 having previously made and published his last will and testament hereunto annexed marked (A)
- That by his said will he appointed your petitioners executors thereof
- That the estate of the said William Alfred King at his death did not exceed the sum of one thousand dollars in value
- That the next of kin of the said William Alfred King are his widow Susanna and his children Elizabeth, Joseph R. Fanny E. William AlfredIsaac Butler Ethel Amy, all of White Point aforesaid
- These petitioners were present and did see the testator sign the annexed will by
making his mark. The petitioner Moses King wrote the said will leaving a blank after the words "signed" by the above named testator and before the words "in the presence of us", Subsequently the said Moses King filled in the said blank the name "William Alfred King" in the presence of this testator and thereupon the said testator
made his mark between the words "Alfred" and "King" in the presence of the two witnesses.
Your petitioners pray that the said will be admitted to probate and that your petitioners be entrusted with the execution thereof and as in duty bound your petitioners will ever pray

After three days application will be
made to the Honourable the Supreme
Court or one of the Judges thereof that
Probate of the will of the late William Alfred King of White Point in the
District of Trinity fisherman deceased
be granted to Moses King and John King the executors named in the said
will.

This the last will and testament of me William Alfred King of White Point Trinity Bay in the Island of Newfoundland Planter which I do make Publick [sic] and declare as follows hereby revoking and annulling all other wills by me made.
First, I do give and bequeath to my two sons Joseph Robert and William Alfred King all my land and property dwelling house and stores gardens and flakes and stage and if one of the two should want a second stage, the other brother is to help the said brother to get one
secondly
I do also give and bequeath to my beloved wife Susan Stanford King two shares of all monies due to me at the Savings Bank and also at the Union Bank at Saint Johns and all my children is [sic] to have one share each of them alike that is each of them is to have half as much as my wife
after my Dicease [sic] Except Isac Buttick? [sic] he is not to have any share or part in any property or moneys that I posess [sic] My wife is to remain on my Bisness [sic] as long as she remains a widow and after that she is to Leave? Home? and I do hereby name and appoint my Respected friends Moses King and John King as joint executors to this my last will and testament

St. Johns To Wit I Moses King of New Bonaventure Trinity Bay Planter make oath and say that on the 4th day of August A.D. one thousand eight hundred and ninety three at White Point Trinity Bay I was present and did see William Alfred King late of White Point aforesaid the Testator named in the paper writing hereunto annexed, Marked A, duly sign (by making his mark) publish and declare the said annexed paper writing as and for his last Will and Testament, in my presence and in the presence of John King the other subscribing witness thereto. That I and said John King then and there signed our names to such Will as such witnesses, in the presence of the said Testator and of each other. That previously to the said Will being so signed, as aforesaid, by the said Testator and the said witnesses, it was read over to and approved of by the said Testator in the presence of me and the said John King and that at the time of the said execution of the said Will the said Testator was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, to the best of my knowledge and belief.
