To Wit } I Patrick Quinn of St. John's Butcher do swear that I believe this to be the true Last Will and Testament of William F. Hasey late of St. John's Gentleman, deceased. I do further swear that I will pay all the Debts and Legacies of the said deceased so far as Goods shall extend, and the law shall bind me, and that I will exhibit a full, true and perfect Inventory of all and every the Goods, Rights and Credits of the deceased, together with a just and true account into the Registry of the Supreme Court of Newfoundland, when I shall be lawfully called thereto. And I do further swear that the whole of the Goods, Rights, Chattels, Assets, Credits and Effects of the said William F. Hasey deceased, and of which he died possessed, do not, according to the best of my knowledge, judgment and belief, amount to the value of Seven hundred Dollars

The Petition of Patrick Quinn of St. John's Butcher
Humbly Sheweth
- That William F. Hasey the Step brother of your petitioner died at St. John's aforesaid on or about the second day of October AD 1893.
- That said William F. Hasey made his last Will and Testament which is hereto annexed marked "A" and which has been duly proved wherein he appointed your petitioner Executor.
- That said deceased was at the time of his death possessed of property of the probable value of Six hundred dollars.
- Your petitioner prays that Probate to said Will be granted to him and as in duty bound he will ever pray.

To Wit
I Michael? H Carty of St. John's make oath and say that on the 14th day of September A.D. one thousand eight hundred and ninety three at St. John's I was present and did see William F. Hasey late of St. Johns the Testator named in the paper writing hereunto annexed duly sign publish and declare the said annexed paper writing as and for his last Will and Testament, in the presence of me and of Elizabeth McCarty the other subscribing witness thereto. That I and said Elizabeth McCarty then signed our names to such Will as such witnesses, in the presence of the said Testator and of each other, and at the time of the said execution of the said Will the said Testator was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, to the best of Deponent's knowledge and belief.

This is the last will and testament of me William F. Hasey of St. John's :- After my just debts and funeral expenses are paid I give devise and bequeath all the property of every description which I may die possessed of to my step-brother Patrick Quinn of St. John's aforesaid Butcher, and I appoint the said Patrick Quinn Executor of this my Will.
