Catherine Redmond Estate of Catherine Redmond 1894
This is the last will and testament of me Catherine Redmond of St. John's in the Central District Widow of James Joseph Redmond of the same place Cabman deceased of and in (?) as in addition to any share or interest which they have or might have in the Estate of my late husband James Joseph Redmond.
In the Supreme Court of Newfoundland NEWFOUNDLAND, } I Herbert E. Knight of St. John's aforesaid Solicitor make oath and say that on the Twenty first day of Feruary A.D., One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety ------------------------ at St. John's aforesaid I was present and did see Catherine Redmond late of St. John's aforesaid Widow the Testatrix named in the paper writing hereunto annexed, duly sign, publish and declare the said annexed paper writing, as for her last Will and Testament in my presence, and in presence of Francis Madigan of St. John's aforesaid the other subscribing witness thereto. That I and said Francis Madigan then and there signed our names to such Will as such witnesses, in the presence of the said Testatrix and of each other and that at the time of the said execution of the said Will the said Testatrix was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, to the best of my knowledge and belief. Your Petitioner therefore prays that Probate of the said last will and testament of the said Catherine Redmond may be granted to him Edmund Crook

Clerk and Registrar from the day of the date thereof and that no caveat or other objection has been entered thereto.

Three days after the date hereof application will be made to the Supreme Court or to one of the Honourable the Judges thereof for Probate to the Will of the late Catherine Redmond of St. John's in the Central District Widow deceased, to be granted to the Reverend Edmund Crook of St. John's aforesaid the Executor named in said Will.
AFFIDAVIT. In the Supreme Court of Newfoundland. NEWFOUNDLAND, } I do swear that I believe this to be the true Last Will and Testament of Catherine Redmond late of Saint John's in the Central District Widow deceased I do further swear that I will pay all the Debts and Legacies of the said deceased so far as her Goods shall extend, and the law shall bind me, and that I will exhibit a full, true and perfect Inventory of all and every the Goods, Rights and Credits of the deceased, together with a just and true account into the Registry of the Supreme Court of Newfoundland when I shall be lawfully called thereto. And I do further swear that the whole of the Goods, Rights, Chattels, Assets, Credits and Effects of the said Catherine Redmond, deceased, and of which she died possessed, do not, according to the best of my knowledge, judgment and belief amount to the value of Nine hundred dollars So help me GOD.
