Be it Remembered, That on this Twenty fifth day of June November in the fifty Sixth Seventh Year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lady VICTORIA, by the Grace of GOD, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, QUEEN, Defender of the Faith, &c., and in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety- three

Personally appeared John H McNeil of Carbonear Alfred Penny of the same place merchant and Joseph Mackey of the same place Clerk of the Peace and did acknowledge themselves to be held and firmly bound to our said Sovereign Lady the Queen, Her Heirs and Successors, in the penal sum of five thousand dollars to be had, made, and levied on their Goods, Chattels and Effects jointly and severally if default is made in any of the Conditions following:---

Now the Condition of this Obligation is such, that if the above bounden John H. McNeil shall duly and faithfully act as Guardian of the Estate and Effects of Warren Norman McNeil a Minor under the age of twenty-one years, and shall and do pay and dispose of such Estate in such manner as the said Court shall direct, then this obligation to be void and of no effect, or else to be and remain in full force and virtue.

In the matter of

Norman McNeil
an Infant

          Upon reading the Petition of John H. McNeil father of the said infant and upon hearing Mr. Morison of Counsel for him I do order that the said John H McNeil be and he is hereby appointed Guardian of the person and estate of said Warren Norman McNeil   And I do further order that all monies belonging to the estate of said infant shall be deposited by the said Guardian in the Newfoundland Savings Bank and shall not be withdrawn therefrom without the order of this court or a Judge thereof.
