(B) In the Supreme Court of Newfoundland NEWFOUNDLAND, } I Alfred Butter -------------------- of ------ Middle Bight but at present of Kelligrews on the Souht Shore of Concepion Bay Fisherman ------ make oath and say that on the twenty Seventh day of June -------- A.D., One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety-three ------------ a Kelligrews aforesaid --------------- I was present and did see William James LeDrew -------- late of Kelligrews ------ aforesaid -------------------------------- the testator - named in the paper writing hereunto annexed, duly sign, publish and declare the said annexed paper writing, as and for his last Will and testament in my presence, and in the presence of Joseph Greenslade also of Kelligrews aforesaid --------------------------------------------- the other subscribing witness hereto. That I and said Joseph Greenslade ---------------------------------- then and there signed our names to such Will as such witnesses, in the presence of the said t estator and of each other ---------------------------------------- and that at the time of the said execution of the said Will the said testator was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, to the best of my knowledge and belief. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To The Petition Humbly Sheweth That your Petitioners Husband William James LeDrew late of Kelligrews, aforesaid Fisherman died at that place on or about the eigtheenth day of march last past leaving him Surviving a Widow (Your Petitioner and Seven children three of whom are over the age of tweny one year - the remainder being under that age) That at the time of his death the said William James LeDrew was possessed of money and Effects of the probale value of three Hundred Dollars That the Said deceased made a Will which has been proven in due form of Law by the affidavit of Alfred Butler one of the Subscribing witnesses thereto which said will and affidavit are hereto annexed marked A and B respectively Page 2 That neither Letters of administration nor Probate has as yet been granted to the said Estate Your Petitioner therefore prays that Letters of administration with will annexed to the said Estate may be granted to her And as in duty bound She will Ever pray Dated at Kelligrews this 30th day of April AD 1894 Witness Francis F. Notice Three days from date hereof application will be made to the Honourable the Supreme Court or one of the Honourable Judges thereof for Letters of Administration c.t.a. to the Estate of James LeDrew late of Kelligrews to be granted to Selina LeDrew widow of said deceased.
Certificate I hereby certify that the notice on the other side hereof has been posted up in my office from the date hereof to the present and that no other caveat or Geo. I. Adams

Page 3 I have got some Mony in the Union Bank of St Johns and if my family do not want it after my Wife's death it is to be put in seven parts one part for each Child that is if Theyre living and if the have not if the got any Children the have to get there Parents part. Page 4 I do put my trust in God that all my Wishes will be Carried through with God's help This is the bequest I ask of my family and I put my trust in God the will not Neglect it. Be it Remembered, that on this First day of May in the Year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lady VICTORIA, by the Grace of GOD, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, QUEEN, Defender of the Faith, &c., and in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety four personally appeared Selina LeDrew of Kelligrews in the Island of newfoundland Widow and did acknowledge Now The Condition Of this Obligations is such, that if the above bounden Selina LeDrew as Administratrix of the Estate and Effects of William James LeDrew late of Kelligrews aforesaid Fisherman deceased, do make, or cause to be made, a just, true and perfect Inventory of all and singular, the Goods, Credits and Effects of the said deceased, which have or shall come to the hands or possession of any other person or persons, for her and the same so made do exhibit, or cause to be exhibited, into the Supreme Court of Newfoundland, at or before the First day of November next ensuing the date hereof; and the said Goods, Chattels, Credits and Effects, and all other the Goods, Chattels, Credits and Effects of the said deceased, at the time of his death, or which at any time afterwards shall come to the hands or possession of her the said Selina LeDrew or to the hands or possession of any other person or persons for her shall well and truly administer according to Law, and further shall make, or cause to be made, a just and true account of her said Administration, on or before the First day of May which will be in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety five and afterwards from time to time as She shall be lawfully required. And all the rest, residue, and remainder of the said Goods, Chattels, Credits and Effects, which shall be found remaining upon the said Adminis-tration account, the same being examined and allowed by the said Supreme Court of Newfoundland, shall and do pay and dispose of in a due course of Administration, or in such manner as the said Court shall direct;--- then this Obligation to be void and of no effect, or else to be and remain in full force and virtue.
