NEWFOUNDLAND AFFIDAVIT. You shall swear that you believe this to be the true last Will and Testament of John Fitzgerald alias Hunt late of Brigus in the Northern District of the Island of Newfoundland, Tinsmith, deceased. So help you God. Sworn before me, at *Brigus
1889 Estate of John Fitzgerald Dated 8th November A.D. 1889 Probate granted to Estate sworn under $85000
To the Honorable Sir Fredrick The Petition of William Hunt of Brigus in the Northern District of Newfoundland, Tin Smith Humbly Sheweth That John Fitzgerald alias Hunt late of Brigus aforesaid, Tin Smith, died at that place on or about the seventh day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight. That the said John Fitzgerald alias Hunt left him surviving as next of kin several uncles of whom your Petitioner is one. Page 2 That at the time of his death the said John Fitzgerald alias Hunt was possessed of money, property and effects within the jurisdiction of your Honorable Court of the probable value of Eight Hundred Dollars. That the said John Fitzgerald made and published his last Will and Testament which said Will is hereto annexed and which has been proven in due form of law by Patrick J. Power one of the subscribing witnesses thereto. That under the said Will your Petitioner was appointed Sole Executor. That no Probate or Letters of Administration have as yet been granted to the said Estate. Your Petitioner therefore Page 3 prays that Probate to the said Will may be granted to him, W. Hunt and as in duty bound your Petitioner will ever pray. Dated at Brigus this 28th day of Sept A.D. 1889. Supreme Court Brigus Sworn before me at Brigus aforesaid W. Hunt J. Wilcox

Notice Three days after the date hereof application will be made to one of the Honorable The Judges of the Supreme Court of Newfoundland for Probate to the Will of John Fitzgerald alias Hunt late of Brigus in the Northern District, Tinsmith, deceased to be granted to William Hunt also of Brigus aforesaid, Tinsmith, the Executor named in said Will.
