Be it Remembered, That on this twenty eighth day of March in the Fifty Second Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lady VICTORIA, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, Queen, Defender of the Faith, &c, and in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty-nine personally appeared Michael Coady of Bay Bulls in the Island of Newfoundland, Fisherman, Martin Burk of same place, Planter and Patrick Williams of same place, Planter, and did acknowledge themselves to be held and firmly bound to our said Lady the Queen, her Heirs and Successors, in the penal Sum of Three Hundred Dollars, to be had, made and levied on their Goods, Chattels and Effects, jointly and severally, if Default is made in any of the conditions following:--

NOW THE CONDITION OF THIS OBLIGATION IS SUCH, That if the above bounden Michael Coady as administrator  of the Estate and Effects of Mary Coady late of Bay Bulls aforesaid, widow, deceased, do make, or cause to be made, a just, true, and perfect Inventory of all and singular the Goods, Credits and Effects of the said deceased, which have or shall come to the hands, possession, or knowledge of him the said Michael Coady as such Administrator or to the hands or possession of any other person, or persons, for him and the same so made do exhibit, or cause to be exhibited, in the Supreme Court of Newfoundland, at or before the 28th day of September next ensuing the date hereof; and the said Goods, Chattels, Credits and Effects, and all other the Goods, Chattels, Credits and Effects of the said deceased, at the time of her death, or which at any time afterwards shall come into the hands or possession of him the said Michael Coady or to the hands or possession of any other person or persons for him shall well and truly administer according to Law, and further shall make, or cause to be made, a just and true account of his said Administration, on or before the 28th day of March which will be in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety and afterwards from time to time as he shall be lawfully required. And all the rest, residue, and remainder of the said Goods, Chattels, Credits and Effects, which shall be found remaining upon the said Administration Account, the same being examined and allowed by the said Supreme Court of Newfoundland, shall and do pay and dispose of in due course of Administration, or in such a manner as the said Court shall direct; then this obligation to be void and of no effect, or else to be and remain in full force and virtue.

To Wit          } I do swear that I believe that Mary Coady , late of Bay Bulls in the Central District of Newfoundland, widow, deceased died with a Will; and that I will well and truly administer all and every the Goods of the said deceased, and pay her Debts so far as his Goods will extend; and that I will exhibit a true, full, and perfect Inventory of the Goods of the deceased, and render a true account of my Administration into the Registry of the said Court, within six months from the date hereof, or when I shall be thereunto lawfully required; and that the whole of the Goods, Rights, Chattels, Assets, Credits and Effects of the said deceased, which he died possessed of, within the jurisdiction of this Court, do not, according to the best of my knowledge, judgment and belief, amount to the value of One Hundred and Fifty dollars.

To the Honorable the Supreme Court or
one of the Honorable Judges thereof.

The Petition of Michael Coady of Bay Bulls in the Southern District, Fisherman,

Humbly Sheweth

That Petitioner's mother Mary Coady late of the same place, widow, died in the month of April (1875) one thousand eight hundred and seventy five having first made and executed the paper writing hereto annexed as and for her last Will and Testament.
That said Will has been duly proven.
That Testatrix at the time of her death left her surviving your Petitioner her eldest son, Thomas Coady and Esther Coady and Mary Ann Coady and John Coady.
That the said Esther Coady is since married and has been provided for by Petitioner and his brother Thomas.
That John Coady has been left the Country for over ten years. That Petitioners brother Thomas consents to his obtaining Administration to the Estate with the will annexed.
That Testatrix at the time of her death was possessed of property to the probable value of One Hundred and Twenty dollars.
That no probate or administration has been granted to said Estate.
Petitioner therefore prays that administration to the Will annexed may be granted to him.
And as in duty bound he will ever pray.

Notice

After three days application will be made to the Honorable the Supreme Court or one of the Honorable the Judges thereof for Administration with the Will annexed to the Estate and affects of Mary Coady, late of Bay Bulls in the Southern District, Widow, deceased to be granted to Michael Coady, eldest son of deceased and one of the legatees in the said Will.

In the name of God. Amen.
I Mary Coady of Bay Bulls make? in bodily sickness, but in full possession of my intellectual facilities do hereby declare this to be my Last Will and Testament as follows:
I bequeath my worldly property which consists of the house in which I now reside with the ground thereunto belonging in front and rear, to the road in front and bounded by the Getherals land in the rear to my two sons Michael & Thomas Coady with the proviso that said property shall not be sold or mortgaged and also my aforesaid sons Michael and Thomas shall give a home and support to my daughter Esther until she shall be otherwise provided for.
And also that my said sons Michael & Thomas Coady shall help their brother John as far as in their power in building a house for him. And I also bequeath unto my

daughter Esther Coady my bed and bedclothes together with my gold ring.
And to which I hereunto put my hand this ninth day of April in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred & Seventy Five.
I also bequeath unto my said daughter Esther the garden by the Wall.

Patrick Brien of Bay Bulls in the Central District, but at present of St. John's aforesaid, Planter, maketh oath and saith that on the ninth day of April A.D. one thousand eight hundred and *eightyseventy five at Bay bulls aforesaid, he this Deponent was present and did see Mary Coady late of Bay Bulls aforesaid, Widow, the Testatrix named in the paper writing hereto annexed, duly sign publish and declare the said annexed paper writing as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of this Deponent and of Terence Morrissy the other subscribing witness thereto. That Deponent and said Terence Morrissy then and there signed their names to such Will as such witnesses in the presence of the said Testatrix and of each other and that at the time of the said Execution of the said Will the said Testatrix was of sound disposing mind, memory and understanding, to the best of Deponent's knowledge and belief.
