SUPREME COURT OF NEWFOUNDLAND Be it Remembered, That on this twenty third day of August in the Fifty Third Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lady VICTORIA, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, Queen, Defender of the Faith, &c, and in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty-nine personally appeared Elizabeth Jane Bradley, William Bradley and Henry Cowan, all of St. John's and did acknowledge themselves to be held and firmly bound to our said Lady the Queen, her Heirs and Successors, in the penal Sum of Six Hundred Dollars, to be had, made and levied on their Goods, Chattels and Effects, jointly and severally, if Default is made in any of the conditions following:-- NOW THE CONDITION OF THIS OBLIGATION IS SUCH, That if the above bounden Elizabeth Jane Bradley as Administratrix of the Estate and Effects of Jane Bussey late of Port de Grave, Widow, deceased, do make, or cause to be made, a just, true, and perfect Inventory of all and singular the Goods, Credits and Effects of the said deceased, which have or shall come to the hands, possession, or knowledge of her the said Elizabeth Jane Bradley as such Administratrix or to the hands or possession of any other person, or persons, for her and the same so made do exhibit, or cause to be exhibited, in the Supreme Court of Newfoundland, at or before the twenty third day of February next ensuing the date hereof; and the said Goods, Chattels, Credits and Effects, and all other the Goods, Chattels, Credits and Effects of the said deceased, at the time of her death, or which at any time afterwards shall come into the hands or possession of her the said Elizabeth Jane Bradley or to the hands or possession of any other person or persons for her shall well and truly administer according to Law, and further shall make, or cause to be made, a just and true account of said Administration, on or before the twenty third day of August which will be in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety and afterwards from time to time as she shall be lawfully required. And all the rest, residue, and remainder of the said Goods, Chattels, Credits and Effects, which shall be found remaining upon the said Administration Account, the same being examined and allowed by the said Supreme Court of Newfoundland, shall and do pay and dispose of in due course of Administration, or in such a manner as the said Court shall direct; then this obligation to be void and of no effect, or else to be and remain in full force and virtue. Certificate I hereby certify that the notice on the other side hereof contained has been posted in the Office of the Chief Clerk of the Supreme Court in St. John's from the date thereof until this date and that no caveat or other objection thereto has been filed or entered.
Notice After three days from the date hereof application will be made to the Honourable the Supreme Court or to one of the Honourable Judges thereof for Letters of Administration of the Estate of Jane Bussey late of Port de Grave, widow, deceased to be granted to Elizabeth Jane Bradley of same place Burin, daughter of deceased.
To the Honourable the Supreme Court or The Petition of Elizabeth Jane Bradley of Burin in Island of Newfoundland Humbly sheweth That Jane Bussey late of Port de Grave in the Island of Newfoundland, widow, died on or about the nineteenth day of January last Anno Domini Eighteen Hundred and Eighty Nine intestate, leaving her surviving as next of kin your Petitioner, daughter of deceased and two sons namely Albert Bussey of Port de Grave, fisherman and Jacob Bussey now residing in Monroe Village in the State of Maine. Supreme Court Newfoundland In the matter of the Petition of William Clapp of St. John's aforesaid, Barrister, Solicitor for Elizabeth Jane Bradley, the Petitioner named in the within petition, maketh oath and saith that Albert Bussey of Port de Grave, fisherman, but at present fishing on the Labrador Coast, one of the parties named in the said petition did appear before this deponent and give his consent to the said Elizabeth Jane Bradley applying for Letters of Administration to the Estate of the said late Jane Bussey, late of Port de Grave, widow, deceased and further that this deponent did write and inform Jacob Bussey, now residing in Monroe Village, Maine, U.S., also named in said petition, of Elizabeth Jane Bradley's intention to apply for Letters of Administration to said Estate and to which said Jacob Bussey raised no objection to said application.
