Newfoundland AFFIDAVIT You shall swear that you believe this to be the true Last Will and Testament of George A. Scott late of Saint John's in the Central District of the Island of Newfoundland, Accountant deceased. You shall swear that you will pay all the Debts and Legacies of the Deceased, so far as the Goods shall extend and the Law shall bind you: and that you will exhibit a true, full and perfect Inventory of all and every the Goods, Rights and Credits of the deceased, together with a just and true account into the Registry of the Supreme Court of Newfoundland, when you shall be lawfully called thereto: And you shall further swear that the whole of the Goods, Rights, Chattels, Assets, Credits and Effects of the said Deceased, and of which he died possessed, do not according to the best of your knowledge, judgment and belief, amount to the value of two thousand five hundred dollars So help you God Sworn before me at St. John's Geo. I. Adams

This is the last will and testament of me George Albert Scott of Saint John's in the Island of Newfoundland accountant
I desire that piece or parcel of land belonging to me situate on LeMarchant Road in the town of Saint Johns to be divided into three? building lots each having an equal frontage of feet upon the said LeMarchant Road and I will and bequeath the said property as follows: one lot being the lot adjoining the property of the widow of the late James A. Scott to my sister Mrs. Dunn: the lot adjoining the said lot devised to Mrs. Dunn I devise to my sister Elizabeth Scott and the remaining lot being the lot which is bounded on the south by Logy Bank Road I devise to my sister Emma Eales Scott. I give and devise to my brother William I. Scott that piece or parcel of land situate at Mount Scio near Saint Johns belonging to me and also a piece of land held by me situate at Loomistown near Saint Johns and also that piece of land containing four building lots situate ??? St. Johns and purchased by me from Thomas W. Spry. I desire that the sum of twenty dollars be paid out of my residency estate into the Savings Bank for my nephew Frederic Scott son of William J. Scott of Twillingate. I further will and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of my estate and effects to my father and mother equally between them.
I hereby appoint Franklin Hamlin of Saint Johns executor of this my last will and testament and I bequeath him the sum of eighty dollars for his services as executor, the said bequest to be payable out of my remaining estate. SUPREME COURT OF NEWFOUNDLAND Saint John's } William H. Horwood of Saint Johns in the Island of Newfoundland Solicitor maketh oath and saith that on the first day of February A.D. one thousand eight hundred and eighty eight at Saint Johns aforesaid he, this Deponent, was present and did see George Albert Scott late of Saint Johns aforesaid Accountant the Testator named in the paper writing hereunto annexed duly sign publish and declare the said annexed paper writing as and for his last Will and Testament, in the presence of this Deponent and of Jessie Eales Ayre the other subscribing witness thereto. That Deponent and said Jessie Eales Ayre then and there signed their names to such Will as such witnesses, in the presence of the said Testator and of each other. That previously to the said Will being so signed as aforesaid, by the said Testator and the said witnesses, it was read over and approved of by the said Testator in the presence of Deponent and the said and that at the time of the said execution of the said Will the said Testator was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, to the best of Deponent's knowledge and belief. To the Honorable the Supreme Court or one of your Lordships the Judges thereof: The petition of Franklin Hamlin of Saint Johns in the Island of Newfoundland Humbly Sheweth That George A. Scott of Saint Johns aforesaid accountant died at Saint Johns aforesaid on the fifth day of February instant having previously made his last will and testament, which said last will and testament is hereunto annexed, and having appointed your petitioner as executor thereunder Franklin Hamlin
