AFFIDAVIT

Debts and Legacies of the Deceased, so far as the Goods shall extend ?????????????????????? will exhibit a true, full and perfect Inventory of all and every the ??????????????????? together with a just and true account into the Registry of the Su- ??????????????????  ??all be ??????????reto: And you shall further swear that the ????????????????????

This is the Last Will and Testament of Eunice Fry of Saint John's in the Island of Newfoundland, Spinster.

          I give and bequeath unto Richard A Ba??? all the goods, moneys, securities, and all other property and effects that may be possessed by me at the time of my death to have and to hold the same for his own use and benefit, after payment therefrom of all debts due by me and of my funeral and testamentary expenses.
          And I hereby appoint the said Richard A. Barnes as Executor of this my last Will and Testament. Signed by me so and for my last Will and Testament this seventh day of February AD, One thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight.

The Petition of Richard A. Barnes of Saint John's in the Island of Newfoundland Accountant

Humbly Sheweth

          That Eunice Fry late of Saint John's aforesaid Spinster died at the same place on the thirteenth day of February instant having previously made her Last Will and Testament which said last Will and Testament is hereunto annexed.
          That at the time of her decease the said Eunice Fry was possessed of property within the jurisdiction of this Honorable Court to the probable value of eight hundred dollars.
          That your Petitioner has been appointed Executor under the said Will and that no application for Probate thereto or for Letters of Administration to the Estate and effects of the said deceased has heretofore been made to this Honorable Court.
          Your Petitioner therefore prays that your Honorable Court or one of your Lordships the Judges thereof will be pleased to grant him Probate of the said ???th
          And as in duty bound your Petitioner will ever pray do at Saint John's aforesaid this 25th day of February AD 1888

TO WIT       }

William H? Horwood of Saint John's aforesaid Solicitor maketh oath and saith that on the seventh day of February A.D. One Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty-eight at Saint John's aforesaid he, this Deponent, was present and did see Eunice Fry late of Saint John's aforesaid Spinster the Testatrix named in the paper writing hereunto annexed duly sign (by making her mark) publish and declare the said annexed paper writing as and for her last Will and Testament, in the presence of this Deponent and of Selah Percy the other subscribing witness thereto. That Deponent and the said Selah Percy and that at the time of the said execution of the said Will the said Testatrix was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, to the best of Deponent's knowledge and belief.

aforesaid, this twenty seventh day
