To the Honourable the Supreme The petition of Lydia Colton of St. Johns in the Island of Newfoundland, Widow. Humbly Showeth that your petitioner's late husband Samuel Colton late of St. Johns aforesaid, Cooper, departed this life on or about the twenty-first day of November last leaving surviving his widow, your petitioner and the following children, viz. Mary Anne, wife of Thomas Williams of Brixham, England, Albert John of St. Johns aforesaid, Cooper, Francis A. of 372 Merrick Street, East Boston, Massachusetts, in the United States of America, Cooper, Heber? ??? of the same place, Cabinet Maker, and Rachel? of St. Johns aforesaid Spinster, Entitled to property or assets in this Colony to an amount not exceeding in value as your petitioner is? advised? and only? the sum of one thousand dollars That all the said children have assigned all their interest and property in the Estate of the said Samuel Colton to your petitioner.
