To the Honourable the Supreme Court or one of the Honourable the Judges thereof The Petition of William Bartlett of Brigus at present of Saint Johns master mariner Humbly Sheweth That Robert Leamon late of Brigus
Accountant died there in the month of
July last having previously made and
Executed his last will and testament
which is hereto annexed of which he
appointed Your petitioner and his wife Mary Bartlett, Executors Petitioner herefore prays that
probate of the said will of deceased may
be granted to Petitioner and his said

The Last Will and Testament of Robert Leamon, of Brigus, Conception Bay on the Island of Newfoundland. I, Robert Leamon, considering the
uncertainty of this mortal life, and being of
sound disposing mind and memory do
make and publish this my last Will and
Testament, in manner and form following, - Secondly, - I give devise and
bequeath unto my nephew, Robert Abraham Bartlet??
oldest son of my said sister and to his legitimate
heirs, all my just and lawful proportion, part, or
share of and in the Farm and lands known as
Richmond Hill and of and in the Dwelling House,
Barns, and other erections thereon, situate at what is
called, the Gulleys near Brigus aforesaid, to be held
in trust for him my said nephew Robert Bartlett, by
my said sister Mary Bartlett until he has attained
legal age. Page 2 Thirdly.- It is my Will, that in case Either or both of my said nephews, William Stewart Bartlett and Robert Abraham Bartlett, should die before coming of legal age, or should leave no lawful issue then the property or properties of such deceased nephew or nephews, as the case may be, shall be divided between their surviving sisters, the daughters of said sister Mary Bartlett. Fourthly.- All the rest, residue, and remainder of my personal estate, goods, chattels, and property of what kind or nature soever the same may be or in whose hands soever the same may be found, of which I shall die possessed, or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease I give, devise, and bequeath to my said sister Mary Bartlett, during her natural life and to her children divided as she may think proper after her decease. And In witness whereof I, the said Robert Leamon, have hereunto my hand and seal subscribed and set this Twenty-fifth Day of May in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred, and Eighty-Six. The foregoing instrument of two pages was now here signed and sealed by the Testator Robert Leamon in the presence of each of us; and was at the same time declared by him to be his last will and Testament, and we at his request and in his presence, and in presence of each other sign our names as Witnesses thereto. Patrick J. Power, Teacher. Codicil to the above. I Robert Leamon do make and declare
this to be a Codicil to my last Will which
Will was made by me on the 25 day of May A.D.
Domini 1886. And Whereas I have in and by my
said Will given and bequeathed to my Nephew William Stewart Bartlett lately deceased all my part and share of
a certain Dwelling House and property therein specified
and described, and Whereas since the date of my said
Will he, my said nephew William S. Bartlett has died
now I do by this Codicil give and bequeath my
said Share or part of the Said Dwelling House and property
to my Nephew Robert Abraham Bartlett and his
heirs after the death of my sister Mary Bartlett the s??
as before mentioned in my Will. And I do also hereby
give and bequeath to my niece Hilda Bartlett my
Silver Tea Service for her own absolute use and
benefit forever. And in all other respects I do
hereby confirm my foregoing will. In Witness
whereof I have hereunto set my hand seal this Twenty Ninth Day of June, Anno Domini, 1886.
