The Judges thereof for letters of Administration
of the Estate of Matthew King late of Burnt Island
in the Southern District Planter deceased
to be granted to James M Arnold of Petites
in the Said District Accountant.
Certificate Ihereby certify that the notice on the other
side hereof contained has been posted in the Office of the Chief Clerk
of the Supreme Court in St Johns from the date hereof until this
date and that no caveat or other objection thereto has been filed
or entered
To the Honourable the Supreme The petition of James M . Arnold of Petites in the Southern District of New- foundland Accountant Humbly Sheweth That Matthew King late of Petites (KN: the place name, Petites, was partially erased)Burnt(written in left margin, Island) aforesaid planter deceased died in the month August Anno Domini Eighteen hundred and eighty six intestate leaving him surviving five? sons viz William, John, Matthew, Morgan, and Alexander and four daughters Jane, Fanny, Sarah Ann and Susannah , all of full age. That at the time of the decease of the said late Matthew King he was possessed of property and effects of the probable value of six hundred dollars. That the said
children of the said late Matthew King do hereby consent
Page 2 That letters of administration of the Estate of the late Matthew King be granted to your petitioner which consent is hereunto annexed marked A That no letters of probate or administration of the said Estate have been granted Your petitioner therefore humbly prays that your Honourable Court or one of the Honourable the Judges thereof will grant letters of administration to your petitioner And as in duty bound will ever pray &c &c .
