          I do swear that I believe that James Wiseman late of Hearts Delight aforesaid Planter ---------- deceased, died without a Will; and that I will well and truly administer all and every the Goods of the said deceased, and pay his Debts so far as his Goods will extend; and that I will exhibit a true, full and perfect Inventory of the said Goods of the deceased, and render a true account of my Administration into the Registry, of the said Court, within six months after the date hereof, or when I shall be thereunto lawfully required; and that the whole of the goods, rights, chattels, assets, credits and effects of the said deceased, which he died possessed of, within the jurisdiction of this Court, do not, according to the best of my knowledge, judgment and belief, amount to the value of Eight hundred dollars

BE IT REMEMBERED, That on this          day of          in the          Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lady VICTORIA         by the Grace of God, of the United King-
dom of Great Britain and Ireland, Queen, Defender of the Faith, &c., and in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty five personally appeared Jane Wiseman of Hearts Delight in the Northern District widow Samuel Humphries of same place merchant and William Wiseman of same place planter and did acknowledge themselves to be held and firmly bound to our said Sovereign Lady the Queen, Her Heirs and Successors, in the penal Sum Sixteen hundred dollars to be had, made, and levied on their Goods, Chattels, and Effects jointly and severally if default is made in any of the Conditions following:

NOW THE CONDITION of this Obligation is such, That if the above bounden Jane Wiseman---------------
as Administratrix---------------
of the Estate and Effects of James Wiseman
late of Hearts Delight---------------
deceased, do make, or cause to be made, a just, true and perfect Inventory of all and singular, the Goods, Credits and Effects of the said deceased, which have or shall come to the hands, possession, or knowledge of her the said Jane Wiseman as such Administratrix---------------
or to the hands or possession of any other person or persons, for her and the same so made do exhibit,or cause to be exhibited, into the Supreme Court of Newfoundland, at or before the 11th day of---------------
May next ensuing the date hereof; and the said Goods, Chattels, Credits and Effects, and all other the Goods, Chattels, Credits, and Ef-fects of the said deceased, at the time of his death, or which at any time afterwards shall come to the hands or possession of her the said Jane Wiseman---------------
--------------- or to the hands or possession of any other person or persons for her shall well and truly admin-
ister according to Law, and further shall make, or cause to be made, a just and true Account of her said Administration, on or before the     11th day of November which will be in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty six and afterwards from time to time as she shall be lawfully required. And all the rest, residue, and remainder of the said Goods, Chattels, Credits, and Effects, which shall be found remaining upon the said Ad-
ministration Account the same being examined and allowed by the said Supreme Court of Newfoundland, shall and do pay and dispose of in due course of administration, or in such manner as the said Court shall direct; -- then this Obligation to be void and of no effect or else to be and remain in full force and virtue.

Each party having been heard the matters in dispute were adjusted as follows, with the consent of both.
          The widow (Jane Wiseman) is to retain possession of her late husband's dwelling house, furniture, fixtures, goods and chattels contained therein, also the land surrounding the house aforesaid with all outhouses thereon (land known as Kitchen-garden) with the exception of a strip on the west side of said dwelling house, abutted and bounded as follows that is to say, on the East partly by the dwelling house aforesaid and partly by the kitchen garden aforesaid measuring therely Forty nine feet on the west partly by William Wiseman's dwelling house

and partly by the sea-shore measuring therely Forty ninetwenty six feet,??? angles on the north by (initials in right margin) GJa
the seashore and measuring (under initials above) J.H
therely thirty one feet and on the South by a lane and measuring therely Twenty Eighttwo feet, this ??? which said (initials in right margin) GJa
piece of land as above described is (under initials above) J H
to become the property of William Wiseman his executors administrators and assigns for ever. The flake store stage wharf and all waterside premises are also to belong to William Wiseman reserving nevertheless the right to use a lin?ay adjoining the shore aforesaid and the use of the flake to the said Jane Williams whenever required to have and to hold the said pieces or parcels of land and premises as above described to the parties, as aforesaid, their executors, administrators, and assigns for ever. And the said William Wiseman for himself his executors, administrators and assigns covenants and agrees with the said Jane Wiseman her executors administrators and assigns that

he will in no way interfere with her or disturb her in any manner whatsoever in her possession of the aforesaid dwelling house, furniture, goods, fixtures, chattels, lands and premises awarded as her share of the Estate and effects of her late husband James Wiseman

Each person stated his & her own case and after some delay the matter was adjusted as follows with the consent of both parties.
          The widow (Jane Wiseman) is to retain possession of her late husband's house, furniture &c contained therein, also the land surrounding the house called the kitchen garden with the exception of a strip on the west of the aforesaid dwelling house, abutted and bounded as follows that is to say on the East by the dwelling house aforesaid and garden aforesaid and measuring therely 49 feet on the west by William Wisemans house and sea: shore measuring therely 49 feet. On the north by the sea-shore measuring therely 28 feet and on the South by a lane measuring therely 28 feet. William Wiseman is to retain possession of the shore stage flake and wharf and all waterside premises, giving Jane Wiseman the use of the lin?ay adjoining the shore & the use of the flake.
          The land on the South Side of the Pond goes according to the direction of will of James Wiseman deceased.
