SUPREME COURT OF NEWFOUNDLAND

ST. JOHN'S,
To Wit.

I do swear that I believe that Alexander McKenzie, late of Bay Islands in the Southern District of Newfoundland, Stipendiary Magistrate, deceased, died without a Will; and that I will well and truly administer all and every the Goods of the said deceased and pay his debts, so far as his Goods will extend; and that I will exhibit a true, full and perfect Inventory of the said Goods of the deceased, and render a true account of my Administration into the Registry of the said Court, within six months from the date hereof, or when I shall be thereunto lawfully required; and that the whole of the Goods, Rights, Chattels, Assets, Credits and Effects of the said deceased which he died possessed of, within the jurisdiction of this Court, do not, according to the best of my knowledge, judgment and belief, amount to the value of four hundred and twenty dollars.

NOTICE

Three days after the date hereof application will be made to one of the Honorable the Judges of the Supreme Court of Newfoundland for Letters of Administration to the Estate of Alexander McKenzie late of Bay of Islands in the Southern District of Newfoundland, Stipendiary Magistrate, deceased to be granted to Susan Austen McKenzie, Widow of said deceased Alexander McKenzie.

Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Newfoundland,
or to one of The Honorable the Assistant Judges thereof:

          The Petition of Susan Austen McKenzie of Bay of Islands in the Southern District of Newfoundland, Widow,

Humbly Sheweth

That your Petitioner's Husband, Alexander McKenzie late of Bay of Islands aforesaid, Stipendiary Magistrate, died at that place on or about the Sixteenth day of May last past, leaving him surviving your Petitioner and two children, namely Mary Isabelle McKenzie aged 18 years (Eighteen) and Alice Cary McKenzie aged 13 years (thirteen).
That the said Alexander McKenzie deceased was at the time of his decease possessed of property and effects of the probable value of Four Hundred and Twenty Dollars within the jurisdiction of this Honorable Court.
That the said Alexander McKenzie died without having made any Will.
That no Probate or administration has as yet been granted to said Estate.
Your Petitioner therefore prays that Letters of Administration to said Estate may be granted to her upon her giving the usual Security.
And as in duty bound she will ever pray.
