AFFIDAVIT.

You shall swear that you believe this to be the true last Will and Testament of Adolph G. Warren late of Saint John's in the Central District of the Island of Newfoundland Accountant deceased
You shall swear that you will pay all the Debts and Legacies of the Deceased, so far as the Goods shall extend and the Law shall bind you; and that you will exhibit a true, full, and perfect Inventory of all and every the Goods, Rights and Credits of the deceased, together with a just and true account into the Registry of the Supreme Court of Newfoundland, when you shall be lawfully called thereto: And you shall further swear that the whole of the Goods, Rights, Chattels, Assets, Credits and Effects of the said Adolph G. Warren deceased, and of which he died possessed, do not, according to the best of your knowledge, judgment and belief, amount to the value of Seventeen thousand -------------------------------------- Dollars

So help you GOD.

          This is last Will and Testament of me Adolph G. Warren of S Johns Ac-Countant. I devise that the annual rents issues and profits arising from the whole of my estate real and personal shall be paid to my wife to be applied by her in her discretion to the joint support and maintenance of her-self and my daughter Ella Frances Ella until the death or marriage of either of them. Upon the death or marriage of either I devise that the whole of my estate shall then go to the other for her sole separate and absolute use - I bequeath to my Elizabeth Walkin the sum of forty dollars. I appoint James S. Winter of St Johns Q.C. Executor of this my last Will. Dated at S. Johns this thirteenthtwelfth day of June A.D. 1885

James S. Winter of Saint Johns aforesaid Barrister maketh oath and saith that on the twelfth day of June A.D. one thousand eight hundred and eighty five at S. Johns aforesaid he, this Deponent, was present and did see Adolph G. Warren late of S. Johns Accountant the Testator named in the paper writing hereto annexed, duly sign, publish and declare the said annexed paper writing as and for his last Will and Testament, in the presence of this Deponent and of Lucy M. Coen the other subscribing witness thereto. That Deponent and said Lucy M. Coen then and there signed their names to such Will as such witnesses, in the presence of the said Testator and of each other --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- and that at the time of the said execution of the said Will the said Testator was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, to the best of Deponent's knowledge and belief.

To the Honourable the Supreme Court, or one of the Judges thereof

The Petition of James S. Winter of Saint Johns Barrister

Humbly Sheweth

          That Adolph G. Warren late of S· Johns aforesaid Accountant, died at that place on the fourteenth day of July instant

          That said deceased during his lifetime made and executed a Last Will and Testament which is hereunto annexed and whereof he appointed your Petitioner Executor

          That said deceased died possessed of property within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court of the probable value of Sixteen thousand dollars -

          Petitioner therefore prays that Probate of the said Will of said deceased may be granted to your Petitioner And as in duty bound he will Ever pray &c

          Dated at S. John's this          day of July A.D. 1885
