To Wit            }
          I do swear that I believe that Richard Tobin late of Northern Bay, Bay de Verd Fisherman deceased died without a Will; and that I will well and truly administer all and every the Goods of the said deceased and pay his debts so far as his Goods will extend; and that I will exhibit a true, full and perfect Inventory of the said Goods of the deceased, and render a true account of my ---------------- Administration into the Registry of the said Court within six months from the date hereof, or when I shall be thereunto lawfully required; and that the whole of the Goods, Rights, Chattels, Assets, Credits and Effects of the said deceased which he died possessed of, within the jurisdiction of this Court, do not, according to the best of my knowledge, judgment and belief, amount to the value of Two hundred and fifty          dollars.

Be it remembered, That on this ------ tenth ---------------------------- day of June in the Forty eighth -------------------------------- Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lady VICTORIA, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, Queen, Defender of the Faith, &c., and in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty five personally appeared John Tobin of Western Bay in the district of Bay de Verd fisherman Arthur Doyle & Thomas Boyle and did acknowledge themselves to be held and firmly bound to our said Lady the Queen, Her Heirs and Successors, in the penal Sum of Four hundred ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dollars, to be had, made and levied on their Goods, Chattels and Effects, jointly and severally, if Default is made in any of the conditions following:

NOW THE CONDITION OF THIS OBLIGATION IS SUCH, that if the above bounden John Tobin -------------------------------------------- as Administrator ------- of the Estate and Effects of -------------------------------------------------------------Richard Tobin late of Northern Bay in the district of Bay de Verd fisherman ------ deceased, do make, or cause to be made, a just, true, and perfect inventory of all and singular the Goods, Credits and Effects of the said deceased, which have or shall come to the hands, pos-session, or knowledge of him the said John Tobin ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- as such Administrator or to the hands or possession of any other person or persons, for him and the same so made do exhibit, or cause to be exhibited, in the Supreme Court of Newfoundland, at or before the first day of ???? next ensuing the date hereof; and the said Goods, Chattels, Credits and Effects, and all other the Goods, Chattels, Credits and Effects of the said deceased at the time of his death, or which at any time afterwards shall come into the hands or possession of him the said John Tobin or to the hands or possession of any other person or persons for him shall well and truly administer according to Law, and further shall make, or cause to be made, a just and true account of his said Administration, on or before the first day of ????? which will be in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty five and afterwards from time to time as he -------------------------------------------- shall be lawfully required. And all the rest, residue, and remainder of the said Goods, Chattels, Credits and Effects, which shall be found remaining upon the said Administration Acc'ount the same being examined and allowed by the said Supreme Court of Newfoundland shall and do pay and dispose of in due course of Administration, or in such a manner as the said Court shall direct; then this obligation to be void and of no effect, or else to be and remain in full force virtue.

To The Honorable The Supreme Court of Newfoundland or any one of the honorable the Judges thereof.

GTA    The Petition of John Tobin of NorthernWestern in the district of Bay de Verde fisherman

Humbly sheweth

That Richard Tobin formerly of Northern Bay aforesaid fisherman died there about nineteen years ago intestate and leaving him surviving his widow and several children - that his said widow is since then deceased. That of the Children of the said Richard Tobin there are now living Your petitioner who is his son and and resides at
GTA    NorthernWestern Bay aforesaid. Anne now the wife of Thomas Crowe and resident at Torbay near St Johns Ellen now the wife of Daniel Shea and resident at Torbay aforesaid. Mary now the wife of Arthur Doyle and resident at Gull
GTAisland in Bay de Verde Northern Bay aforesaid - and three other sons Patrick James and Richard who left Newfoundland several years ago to Reside in America but where they now reside or whether they or any of them are now living your petitioner cannot state with Certainty. One other son William died about eighteen months ago leaving him surviving his widow and Three Children. That this petitioner was present and saw the said Anne Crowe Thomas Crowe Ellen Shea and Daniel Shea duly sign by affixing their marks thereto the annexed paper marked A - That before leaving Northern Bay to come to St Johns to make the application for administration the said Mary and Arthur Doyle were informed by Your petitioner that he was about to apply for administration to his fathers estate to be granted to him and they agree to his taking such administration in his own name. That said Richard Tobin deceased died possessed

of property situate at Northern Bay aforesaid and Consisting of land of the probable value of about Two hundred dollars. That no probate or adminis-tration to his estate has been hitherto granted.
Petitioner therefore prays that administration to the Estate of the said Richard Tobin deceased may be granted unto him and as in duty bound he will ever pray &c &c &c          Dated at St Johns this 16th day of May 1885
