The Estate of John Bishop Probate year 1831, from the LDS microfilm # 2056192

Supreme Court of Newfoundland
Harbor Grace
to wit:

    I    do swear that    I    believe    John Bishop    late of Bay Roberts Fisherman ( my brother)

deceased, died without    a Will; and that    I    will well and truly Administer all and every the Goods of the said deceased, and pay his Debts so far as his Goods will extend; and that    I    will exhibit a true, full and perfect Inventory of the said Goods of the deceased , and render a true account of    my    Administration into the Registry of the said Court, within Twelve    months from the date hereof, or when    I    shall be thereunto lawfully required; and that the whole of the Goods, Rights, Chattels, Assets, Credits and Effects of the said deceased, which he died possessed of, within the jurisdiction of this Court, do not according to the best of    my    knowledge, judgment and belief, amount to the value of    Eighty    Pounds Sterling.

We the undersigned Henry Bishop and Robert Bishop brothers of John Bishop late of Bay Roberts deceased do mutually agree and hereby humbly request that the Honorable the Supreme Court will be pleased to grant Administration to the Estate of our said late Brother John Bishop to our brother Charles Bishop of Bay Roberts Planter.

Sir

I have the honor herewith to transmit the Bonds in the cases of Administration to the Estate of Bryan? Feeney of Saint Johns and William Donogan of Carbonear.

I also transmit an application from Charles Bishop of Bay Roberts Planter praying Administration to the Estate of his deceased Brother John Bishop and to which the other surviving brothers have assented.
