The Estate of Ann Bartlett, 1830 We the surviving sons and daughters of Ann Bartlett late of Brigus deceased do hereby agree and request that the Honorable the Judge of the Supreme Court will be pleased to grant Administration to Joseph Bartlett our Brother jointly with Mr? Joseph Bussey of Cubits Planter. Witness our hands at Brigus this 3rd March 1830 William Bartlett (X, his mark) Witness: Harbor Grace 9 March 1830 Sir Herewith I have the honor to present the Will of William Bartlett late of Brigus as proved before yourself, together with the Affidavits of Joseph Bussey, whom the family have consented shall administer to the Estate by their signing the accompanying paper I have the honor to be James Blaikie, Esq Supreme Court of Newfoundland Be it remembered that on this Third day of March in the Eleventh year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Fourth by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, &c. and in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty personally appeared Joseph Bartlett of Brigus Planter, Joseph Bussey of Cubits Planter, Abraham Bartlett of Brigus Planter and William Bartlett of Brigus Planter and did acknowledge themselves to be held and firmly bound to our Sovereign Lord the King his Heirs and Successors in the penal Sum of Two Hundred and Twenty Pounds of good and lawful money of Great Britain, to be had, made and levied on their Goods, Chattels and Effects jointly and severally if Default is made in any of the Conditions following: Now the Condition of this Obligation is such, That if the above bounden Joseph Bartlett and Joseph Bussey Administrators to the Estate and Effects of Ann Bartlett late of Brigus Widow deceased, do make, or cause to be made, a just, true and perfect Inventory of all and singular, the Goods, Credits, and Effects of the said deceased, which have or shall come to the hands, possession, or knowledge of them the said Joseph Bartlett and Joseph Bussey or to the hands or possession of any other person or persons, for them and the same so made do exhibit, or cause to be exhibited, into the Supreme Court of Newfoundland, at or before the First day of March next ensuing the date hereof; and the said Goods, Chattels, Credits, and Effects, and all the other Goods, Chattels, Credits and Effects of the said deceased, at the time of her death, or which at any time afterwards shall come to the hands or possession of them the said Joseph Bartlett and Joseph Bussey Joseph Bartlett (X, his mark) Signed and Sealed in the presence of Ann Bartlett of Brigus Supreme Court of Newfoundland We do swear that we believe Ann Bartlett late of Brigus, Widow of William Bartlett deceased, died without a Will; and that we will well and truly Administer all and every the Goods of the said deceased, and pay his Debts so far as his Goods will extend; and that we will exhibit a true, full and perfect Inventory of the said Goods of the deceased , and render a true account of our Administration into the Registry of the said Court, within Twelve months from the date hereof, or when I shall be thereunto lawfully required; and that the whole of the Goods, Rights, Chattels, Assets, Credits and Effects of the said deceased, which he died possessed of, within the jurisdiction of this Court, do not according to the best of our knowledge, judgment and belief, amount to the value of One Hundred and Ten Pounds Sterling.
