Will of Patrick Dyer
from Newfoundland will books volume 8 pages 166 to 168 probate year 1904

In re
      Patrick Dyer          deceased.

      Know all men by these presents that I Patrick Dyer of Logy Bay St. John’s Newfoundland Planter and Farmer being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and publish this my last Will and Testament
first I give and bequeath to my son John Dyer of Logy Bay that Part of the house that was Occupied by him self before and allso that Pice of Land west of the house bounded on the west by George Dyers Land on the North by the river on the south by the road leading to the house on the East by the house all so that Pice of Land on Lars Hill bounded on the North by the Logy Bay road on the west by Bates’ Land on the South by Lars Hill on the East by Martin Roachs Land and - also my Part or share of the fishing Room flakes and houses and Land at Logy Bay
      Second I give and devise to my wife Bridget Dyer of Logy Bay that Part of the house that I now Occupies with outhouses and all my personall efects and all the Land cultivated and uncultivated from the house to Shines Land bounded on the North by the river on the South by George Dyers Land on the East by Shines Land and allso that Pice of Land on the front of the house bounded on the south by Daniel Dyers Land on the west by George Dyers Land on the East by George Dyers Land on the North by the road leading to the house and allso my wife is to have all my cattle cows and horse pigs and poultry and all the farming utensils plows and carts and carriage and all my house hold furniture after my wifes death all the Land and houses is to be divided between her two adopted children William Dyer and Mary Elen Dyer and my son John Dyers son Patrick Dyer to be eaquelly dived betwen them and allso iff the said Bridget Dyer is pressed she is at liberty to dispose of part or whole of the property at any time
In witness whereof I the said Patrick Dyer set my hand and seal hereunto this the 31st day of May A.D. 1904     Patrick Dyer Signed Sealed published and declared by the said Patrick Dyer as and for his last will and testament in presence of us who in his presence and presence of each other and his request have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses    Michael Cadigan Daniel Dyer    Michael X Dyer
